Looking for a particular component or hardware part and you just cannot find it? Got comoonents surplus and want to get rid of it? Post it all here... No sales of working pedals, put these in the 'Seen for sale' section please.
I'm opening up this forum for people who want to get rid of some stuff they bought too much of. If I was hesistant about this initally, it was only because of the problems and altrication that might come from this, rather than this idea of members helping out one another.

In many stores it is easy to find smd resistors, ceramic capacitors, electrolytes, tantalum, diodes, microcircuits and so on.
BUT I can not find film capacitors smd anywhere, do they exist at all?
If so, where can I buy them?
I have Joyo Sweet Baby which I finally modded to my liking (added a 1meg pot for the gain and changed the smd chip to OP275). As soon as I had this thing dang-near perfect...the footswitch falls apart!
I ordered the new footswitch (Alpha), but I am very leary of delsoldering components on these joyo pedals and these switches are pcb mounted. I've had a few solder pads practically disinegrate while trying. I do have a solder sucker I plan on using...can can anyone share any experiences, tips...
Hey there boys and girls.... First post on here but there will be more to come. Thought I would pass along a great deal on eBay.... It's a grab bag of NOS Thomson box film capacitors. Some of the cash goes to charity too so it's a win win for everybody. The guy selling them is a scholar and gentleman to boot. He sent me a sample of about 50 silver micas when I ordered 5 bags. I'm not saying he will do this for every order though. 5 bags for 20 bucks and I got over 550 caps!!! Most of them are...
I've been out of the loop since the late 80's on this stuff, I'm having a hard time sourcing parts. Can a TL072 work as a direct substitute for a TL071? Failing that, does anyone know where I can order either one, preferably from a North American supplier(I live in Canada). As I gradually re-enter the DIY world I'm really amazed at how hard it is to find parts locally, and in some cases mail order. My current project is the simple buffer posted here, I want to see if I can work it into a multi...
I can't seem to find any High Pass filter chip.
There are thousands of high order low pass IC's but I cannot get my hands on a single high pass on.
Is there a specific reason for this ?
FWIW I'm looking for a HP equivalent of a MAX291 or similar
I have a bunch of extra pots I am selling on eBay. Sold in bulk, with per pot pricing between $0.10 and $0.20. I paid 40 cents for the single gang pots, and a dollar per dual-gang, so these prices are BIG discounts. I don't need them anymore, so I'm clearing out my remaining inventory.
does anybody know where i can get a replacement for this ?
Digitech Switch.jpg
it is the footswitch of a x-series digitech stompbox (the multi chorus in this case).
momentary spst, 6x6mm, 4mm high, the rubber cap another 1mm high.
could not find it at banzai, musikding or conrad.
I have a Boss AW-3 Dynamic Wah and the 1/4 guitar input jack has gone bad. It has separate guitar and bass inputs. The bass input is working fine, but the guitar input jack is giving me all sorts of intermittent problems when plugged into it and cleaning it did nothing, so I would like to replace it. A couple of the solder lugs also move when you touch them, which I'm thinking may be the cause of the problem.
I've never seen this jack before and I'm pulling my hair out trying to locate it....
This is a Boss CE-2 clone I built with the intention of using as many orange drop and silver mica caps as I could possibly fit! A couple of them dont affect the tone as they deal with time/delay, but they added mojo. :) I also added a switch that can increase the speed of the chorus effect. The result was worth the effort too, but I have too many CE-2 clones and Im looking to trade.
Here are a few things I'd be willing to trade for:
-Boss CS-2
-Combination of a Boss CS-3 and BD-2 or BF-2....
I plan on doing some mods to a Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive soon, including getting it closer to the sound of the OD-1 Overdrive. 1S2473 Diodes might be a nice touch, but they are rather hard to find and quite expensive here in Europe.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of sellers from China offering them on eBay for peanuts. One is even selling them by the 100 for less than what it costs to buy two from a reputable shop in the UK ! Is this too good to be true ?
Hi all! New here, so be forgiving if I'm not posting this in the right place... :blackeye
I have a DeltaLab Super Time Line ADM 2048 on my bench and I've noticed the pushbuttons are mechanically very wonky. Does anybody happen to know where I can source the parts for this unit? (besides buying another unit)
Follow this link for a picture:
The Program buttons for all the presets are the ones that are bad. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I have searched the internet high and low for a fix for dead pot problems in the ibanez WH10.
Well it certainly seems that there are none.
The pots sold online as replacement pots are linear dual 500k/50k, which I have bought and tried but was dissapointed.
The original pot is obviously NOT linear, but as some kind of special taper.
The linear one just dont ressurect the original wah tone, at all. (not enough wah range)
So, I wanted to ask you people out there for advice.
Pressumebly...
I'm a relative n00b at this and I am curious to know if there is a difference in sound between different colored LEDs when used as clipping diodes in an OD/Distortion circuit. I know the forward voltage ratings differ but does that affect the sound of the end product?
Thanks
Moderator: I don't know if this is the right location to post this so please move as you see fit
I bought an EH Silencer a few months ago (only $71 CAD... how could I say no). A few days ago, I decided to plug it in and play. In my haste to make face melting metal tones, I accidently plugged an 18VDC neg center pin power supply to the 2.1mm jack. Got some funky sounds and realized in horror what I had done. Opened it up. Smelled the magic smoke that had been released. I decided to not lose hope. With a 9V battery, the stomp box still functions. So the defector must be in the...
Hi I have a bunch of these things doing nothing with.
various colors for caps that actually fit snugly on top of the sliders when you are done
A10K x3
B50K x3
B1K x4
B5k x5
A100k x10
B100k x6
B500K x3 (B500k are larger, I think they might be 45 or 50mm, all the others are 30mm)
no screws, I can't remember if they even came with the pots anyways I think I would have stored them in the same box, if they turn up I'll let you know.
mouser part number is: 312-9100f - 5k
mfg part...
Hi, I'm looking for this exact pot from this auction but without the center detent
I can't seem to find it anywhere! does anyone have any lying around? I would be very grateful, name your price,
OR, what do think would an okay substitute? I need this part for a DOD DFX94 digital delay, the delay level pot is w100k, it only controls the delay level not the dry level. Would I notice much difference if I used a linear or audio taper?
I need to offload a ton of pots - 16mm, right angle PCB pins, 6.0mm smooth shaft, more durable substrate, and most are 10% tolerance. I'm discounting them by 50% my current listing price until April 9. Get 200 of them for just $39.50 + shipping!
This time around, even the dual-gang pots count the same as single-gang.
Hello there,
a friend of mine got a large amount of the Philips TDA1022 Bucket Brigade Delays, which were used by several companies fo analogue Chorus, flangers or Leslie simulations (Dynacord CLS122, Korg CX/Bx Organs, Wersi-Voice, Boehm Phasing Rotors und many others).
Some of the best sounding Leslie sims where built with that chip.
We've got over 700 of them, bought after a sale of goods bancrupty estate of a german electronic organ manufacturer some years ago.
Currently they seem to be a...
I realize mechanically having On-Off-On makes sense, but often it would be nicer to have On-On-Off for the user experience.
I can't find any mini switches that do this. Do they exist?
Hi there, I just wanted to share a few pics of a box that we are going to use for our last build, we are going to manufacture it ourselves. Hope you like it!
This one is so that you can see the real size of the box. We´ve build it much smaller than the original, closer to a regular size pedal.
And this is a photoshop. I´m not very good at it, but hopefully you´ll get a general idea of how is going to look.
Whatever impressions you may leave will be helpfull!
