anyone has schematic of this little amp? I own it and am just curious to see what they did.
It's all SMD, so it's a bit of a pain to reverse engineer. Would maybe consider modding the tone stack if it's possible to do without too much SMD work, but it's unlikely.
The Blackstar Fly 3W amp is pretty loud so I took mine apart to see what they used for the driver (great little guitar practice amp btw).
It's almost all SMD although wouldn't be too hard to trace if I felt inclined as most of the PCB tracks are on the top layer on each board (there are 4 PCBs in total, 1 main board and 3x daughter baords - no wonder it is so expensive for a tiny amp).
Anyway looking at the ICs on the main board I can see what I assume are dual op-amps (2272 and 358s), a...
Hi all.
I came across this forum looking for a volume fix for a DOD FX50B and I found it, which was really great after not using that pedal for that particular issue.
So... I began playing the thing through some amps and finally got to my little Fender Frontman 15 which we all know are not quality amps.
That being said, I won't sell it and got to think about modding it up:
1.- Adding a reverb tank. It has the circuit printed, so... could I just solder the missinf components and build a tank...
Not sure if there already is a thread about one of these, but anyway, I thought I would start a thread about my Boss Katana KTN-100 Mk II digital modelling guitar amp, I bought this last year if my memory serves me right, I decided to buy one because a, it's lighter than my Marshall amp so I no longer hurt my back hauling it up and down the stairs near my flat, 2, it has 8 user presettable channels, 3, each of the 8 channels can have up to 5 virtual pedals chained in a row.
Since I could not find the documents on the Internet, I post them from my archive packed in ZIP files.
There are schematics, layouts and pictures to find.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find a schematic for the Marshall JMP-1 preamp's footswitch? My friend wanted me to build one for him since they are sort of hard to find/super expensive. He thinks it uses a midi cable. Not sure its something I want to tangle with but was hoping to take a look and make sure...
Hello
my Quad Preamp has suffered from being stored during near a decade... yes it's a shame
So of course I will have to change the electrolytics, all the orange drop capacitors which are on the anodes, and of course... the vactrols ...
Some of them have died at power-on, when I tried to use the preamp after its long sleep in the closet.
Of course, I plan to roll my own 19 vactrols, seeing that the most important specs to target seems to be the R off which should be greater that 50Mohm...
I've just recently been given a Peavey Backstage Plus 35W Solid State guitar amp for nothing, and I'm currently working on it to get it back to a useable state, so, what's wrong with it?
Well, the original speaker is a no-worker but the rest of the amp seems to work fine, I verified this by plugging my pair of headphones into the headphone socket, I get normal sound through my headphones but no sound through the speaker.... :thumbsup
I figured I may as well post this here for anyone who may want to clone this thing... I ain't never gonna have time to do it so, if this is on your bucket list or you're just bored, sitting around waiting for nuclear annihilation or another bio-weapon attack... then this may keep you busy while you anxiously await the destiny of mankind...
Here is another mod i came up with. I haven't done the mod yet but will start on a layout today and wire it up soon after.
For this one you have to lose the effects loop (I dont use it) but you gain the ability to jumper the inputs for some marshall (well fender actually) magic. Here is the schemo.
Enjoy Johno

I've saw this micro amp with KIA6213 and TA7313. This is a version with NJM386 IC amp.
Q1: 2SC3198 hFE=244
IC1: JRC NJM386BL SIL8
I've used LM386N-1 instead.
I thought I'd get my ass kicked repairing a little solid state amp which has very low volume. Good news is there were already a few people with the exact same problem:
But neither threads comes provides a solution. Symptoms are: big pops when plugging in and out, clearly not loud enough and a lot of background is. I know somebody has worked on the amp, because the legs of the first BF245C are sticking, not clipped off. Somebody has been messing with the input...
I've been looking for another submini amp build, I've breadboarded a few of my own ideas, but nothing satisfied. Today I breadboarded a submini version of Doug H 's Firefly using a 6112 and a 7327. I really like it. Very crunchy at maximum volume, and pretty clean with the volume rolled back. The 7327 tube I used is a rare beast indeed, it's a mil-spec replacement for 6111/6021 and capable of handling up to 300 volts on the plates. A 6021WA could be used as a suitable replacement, the WA suffix...

NAMM 2006 interview with Mike on buying the Russian factory in 1998 and the attempt by another company to take over the building. He then calls in the Putin administration and they take care of business... - hence production went smoothly for 15 years... Then we had the Russian counter sanctions, but now Mike called Vlad and got it sorted out?
It is incredible to hear him reiterate the same anti-fascist bullshit as we hear from Putin....
So I recently got a Roland CH-60 for a song on ebay.
Roland Cubes are a part of my past, I used to load my Dad's Orange Cube 40 into the back of our Brown Austin Allegro on gig nights. It was the first amp I used and I'm mostly a jazzer so it's clean and I like that :)
The CH-60 also packs the Boss CE-2 chorus or very near to it, which was my Dad's favourite pedal (back when he used them). It is concerning that that I'm posting tonight.
They've hard wired a very slow deep chorus on it 3k3...
Would anybody be interested in some gut shots of an old Marshall lead 12 practice amp from 1984? Its my mates, the pots are a bit scratchy and I said I'd take a look at it. Ive got it for a week or two so let me know and i'll upload some pics.
Hi everyone!
Hope the topic is in the right area.
I'm updating the ugly jpg schematic of this amp, now I've made only a single channel version, removing the electronic switch. Here's an eagle version with really dummy libraries (sorry, first works with this software!), but more readable than the old one,and (I hope) useful!
I'd like to put this preamp in a box, and if someone wants to help with the layout will be great!
I found schematics in my archives with layouts and almost all with sound samples from the Bluetone amplifiers.
I searched for the files on the internet to link them, but could not find them anymore. Interesting stuff that should not be lost, so here are the files.

You can check out the house too:
hey gang,
so recently i picked up a blown up marshall 12 watt reverb combo. when i say blown up? i mean LITERALLY.
this model had a tankless reverb deal mounted right to the amp pcb,
and one of the 3 springs broke somehow.
when it did, it literally took out the amp inside.... the spring melted into about 16 parts!!!
never seen that much destruction in this way before..
most of the amp was destroyed, and much of it had been disassembled by the seller, who gave up on it.
i was like..... hmmm.......
Since I have the Bandit 112 I Wanted to do something about the attenuation.
The amp starts breaking up (transtube) at Vol 6-7 at 25% of power level but still, too loud for home use.
I have the 2-silver stripes version:
I found on a post from 2020 a guy saying he added a master volume after the T dynamics circuit and said: it is a 47k / 50k pot in series with the feedback tail. At 50k and T dynamics at 10% one now has 0.65 crancked Watts
He also added this Schematic (red...
