Dual Cool Audio v3205... following what ppl like Abfackeln & then Madbean started diying a few years back I guess.
I like the looks(& size) personally. You couldn't build one cheaper (unless you undervalue your labour).
But build & component quality in that example has put me off buying one: looks like most cheap Chinese effects inside (Joyo etc).

I'd say that's a little too much credit. Multiple BBD's in cascade is as old as BBD's emselves.johnnyg wrote: Dual Cool Audio v3205... following what ppl like Abfackeln & then Madbean started diying a few years back I guess.

Ah, I should have thought of the Memory ManDirk_Hendrik wrote:I'd say that's a little too much credit. Multiple BBD's in cascade is as old as BBD's emselves.
It seems quite nice, I think, that in this delay each BBD has its own clock generator. (Like in Maxon delays for instance).
[Because in the diy dual BBD delays I was thinking of above, just one clock IC was used... and in my own very limited tinkering when attempting to build a dual BBD circuit I encountered some 'latch up/lock up' which I subsequently wondered could have something to do with only using one clock(?)].

First thought: where is the compander? The ADAU1701 has 2 audio ADCs and 4 audio DACS - it is possible that this chip provides compander-ing, filtering and/or other audio processing.
