Hello. This is probably a stupid question, but maybe someone can answer it. I have just received an ART Midi foot controller today. I can't find my old midi cables (probably in a box in my garage ,somewhere). So, I can't test it out yet. i do have two , twin midi plugs to USB cables, which I have used with computers. Can I use the two midi plugs to be "in" and "out" to control my effects unit , without using the USB connected. ? I doubt if this will work, but just thought I would ask . Forgive the ignorance please if this is not possible.

No and not even if it was powered. You need a passive cable.
Almost any 5 pin din cable will work,,Unless it comes from a really old hifi setup as some of those might be wired up wrong for midi.

I used a Zoom Foot controller to change patches on my old QverbGT,, but fiddly to setup.
Glad I sold the QVerb,, way too fiddly even with the software interface. :(
Phil.
