It was from Ampeg themselves. In the DIY layout there is a missing connection from the CD4013.

I would trace your signal before the 4103..the gain structure feeding it, just to see of those opamps are working correctly. :)

For Octave pedals...its a simple circuit.
Is this the final schematic?

Where can I find the schematic from Ampeg?

I got it oon my drive somewhere. I'll repost.

Also I have the schematic for the Aguilar Octamizer. BUT..aguilar blocks out some things. All their pedals have the real important part blocked out, because its under a gooped section that they just replace if busted.

I'll dig that up too.

Here is the pdf I got from ampeg.

And the Aguilar Octamizer.

The part that is blocked out of the aguilar should not be hard to figure out.

Hi all, I'm bumping this topic because I've made a pcb to fit a 1590B enclosure
pcb size: 75x55mm

Furthermore the original ampeg schematic has some slight value improvements that tune and track the octave better
(schematic can be clicked to open in photobucket where it can be enlarged)

Hmmm, this seems the only way to my breadboard test video... weird...

There's a tiny mistake in the pcb, forgot one little path between the 10K res. and the 0,1µF cap. on the green VREF line on the right middle
here's the right pcb layout:

And my own style schematic including all the jack and pot connections

Was also a mistake in the schematic, but this is the definitive one

I see that you have placed C1 (1uF) so that + goes to vref but in the schematic - goes to vref. Is your PCB version verified?

Schematic is right, C1 has to be turned around, thanks for noticing that, I'm still building this and it's not verified jet, so proceed with caution

The last Schematic is verified as far as that I built it on breadboard and that worked

Rotated C1-1µF so that minus side goes towards VREF, I will make a Schematic and Layout with component numbers when I verified all for myself

Alright, finished building and debugging, the 1N4002 also needs to be turned around on the pcb, so here's the verified pcb layout

Last schematic is also verified, leaves me to show you the finished result

And some gutshots, was still unwired at the time:

On to further solder adventures!

Nope - it's still wrong. I've fixed the first mistake I've found:

Plenty of room inside to do Aguilar mods to it. :D

Weeeeeell, if enough room is left and right of the 3pdt then yes, because the rest is pretty tightly packed with the wires in the 1590B (110x60x30)

But you can always go for a 125B (120x65x35) which is slightly roomier inside, and because I like my in- and outputs on the back that's the box I'll go for in the future
