I bought it the last week.
It is good for the metal, but you can use it with the gain knob at zero to get a nice drive.
The circuit has three 4885 in such a small space. I think it is well made, but since it is SMD it is difficult to mod.
I would like to just take off some higs: as soon as you wind up the gain a bit you get a lot of high sizzle.
Without smd I would have tried with a resistance (22k ?) in series to the output.
In this case would it have similar results to put a small cap to ground connecting it to the hot pin of the output jack?
