Hello! (sorry for my bad english)
I found this article by Brian Wampler with some modifications for MXR Distortion Plus:

if you'r not enregistrated, in dinosaurrocketcetc..., that is the schematic:

And Modded Schematic:

Following the instructions and diagrams posted, I changed the layout of General Guitar Gadgets like this:

But I'm noob and I'm not sure I'd done right.

Can you give me an opinion?

dude, step away from the edge a bit. sometimes it takes longer than a few hours when you demand an answer from the Oracle of the Internet. you've got to give the electrons some time to line up into their proper crystal lattice structure.

but seriously, I'm sure the orginal layout would help a bit. as well as some patience.

Post a schematic and I can tell you in a few seconds. Unfortunately I don't feel like tracing build diagrams for errors.
Sorry. Plain out of planes.

In our forum we are working on this mod.
Other users have noticed an error in Smooth Mod
The resistance R4 is concerned (ggg schematic) and not R8.
We are working to improve the Fat Mod
It seems that putting C4 to 0.56uf is not enough. With 0,47uf in C4, this mod don't work.
We need to find a better value of C4...i think can be better try start to value up to 1uF.
in this thread they say it should also work on the value of output capacitor dell'Opamp.

http://archive.ampage.org/threads/1/ope ... ELP-1.html

i think should be, in GGG schematic, C6.

I made the gain pot mod on mine and it made this pedal much more usable.
I also changed C3 value for more bass.
