I stumbled across these on thomann.de, while i was looking for something else:

http://www.thomann.de/dk/harley_benton_ ... rdrive.htm
http://www.thomann.de/dk/harley_benton_ ... _drive.htm
http://www.thomann.de/dk/harley_benton_ ... ortion.htm

Is that metal enclosures?
If these are metal enclosures, I don't think I can even get a switch and the enclosure for the same money here in Denmark. At least i have no idea where to look :?
I'm considering buying the vintage drive and the crunch distortion, just for kicks :) Then I would at least have enclosures, stomp switches and I/O jacks for a few homebrew-pedals

These look like the same deal:
http://www.thomann.de/dk/behringer_dc9_compressor.htm
http://www.thomann.de/dk/harley_benton_ ... langer.htm
http://www.thomann.de/dk/harley_benton_ ... remolo.htm

The Behringer enclosure is supposedly metal, judging from this review: http://www.harmonycentral.com/products/112136 - The build quality gets a beating though :D I wonder why....
Perhaps Harley Benton did the same trick with the switch to keep costs down?

The enclosures are made of metal according to this (german) review:

http://www.thomann.de/de/harley_benton_ ... remolo.htm

I doubt that Behringer are making these pedals. The jacks are different and the led placement. The stompswitch also have the very well known plasic washer from a 3pdt or dpdt stomp switch.

Thomanns "old" Harley Benton pedals where made by beta aivin and the new line perhaps too? It's not on the beta aivin homepage though.

Joyo pedals recently showed up in Poland. My guess is they are mainly MXR copies, including GT OD, Distortion III, Supercomp, Phase 90 and others. There is even something similiar to MXR M80 Bass DI

As for Behringer Ive got that one, and it is metal, but when it comes to durability I think that box profile is more important that material it is made of.

I've got one of Harley Bentons pedal power distributors. It's pretty poor. My amp picks up interference from it when it's plugged in, even if the pedals aren't connected to the amp in any way.
Not the best quality stuff.

Although their 2 x 12's seem to get an excellent review. 2 Vintage 30's and a cab, for only a few bucks more than the the speakers themselves cost.

Harley Benton is just the 'house brand' for Thomann. The actual products are made by many different firms. I would say mostly chinese...

There is a thread about the HB/Joyo pedals at http://www.musikding.de

For a few days, Thomann had some more pedals on their website, they looked like exact copies of the Tech 21 Character series. But probably Tech 21´s lawyer made a telephone call...

I went to effectsdatabase.com and did a search for beta aivin. They didn't show up. So I started randomly browsing chinese brands looking for something that looked the same and BINGO

Thanks.

I'm impressed... no smd and a 3pdt switch. 30£! That's what I pay to build one my self! DIY no more... kidding naturally!

By the way. Check the picture on page 1 or 2 showing that the 'ultimate drive' is an OCD. It even says so on the cardboard box!
