Long story short.....Hello guys.......I have a VINTAGE TUBE MONSTER VT999 that i found sounded horrible,.......

So all i did was put in a OLD GE 12AT7 91/91 on the tester.....and she sounds so much better.........

Just letting ya know....... For some reason a lower gain tube smooths out the crappy ratty fuzzyness of the stock unit(stock tube).......

Loving it now....... Try a 12AT7 before you ditch the pedal........they are cheap tubes also......

And thanks for all the info on the site fellas.......

Jim

Hi Jim,

You also try to use a 12AU7 since is a tube more apt to work well at the very low voltage that is present in your unit .

I´m sure you will like the resulting sound. 8)

Cheers,
Jose
