Behringer - DM100 Distortion Modeler
Greetings to everybody, i am kind of new to this forum, but have been reading a lot already - good stuff!
I recently got the Behringer DM100 "Distortion modeler", i would really like to know more about the circuit, probably to mod a bit. Has anyone done any reverse engineering or tracing for this particular pedal? If not, i could provide some good photos and start tracing a bit, everyone else would be welcome to help
Greetings,
Nils

I think I have one of these among some of the Behringer pedals I bought when they first came out. I took some of them apart and low and behold, all SMD. I haven't tried tracing any of them out yet.
From what I remember this one is three pedals in one, a Rat a Distortion+ and Boss DS1. I did compare a DS1 and the DM100 side by side and they were Very close in sound. Not surprising though with their track record on products.

I have this exact same pedal and was hoping to at the very least rehouse it, and make it true bypass. Mine doesn't bypass cleanly, so even when it's in bypass mode the signal is distorted just a smidge. Watching this post, and willing to use mine as a guinea pig (will start a new thread with specific questions if needed)
Thanks!

Thanks!

So these are the first bits of my tracing....
@Kevin: Welcome aboard! Its cool to talk about true bypass here also, as there are no other threads about this machine. Would be cool to find out as much as possible about this pedal.

Awesome Thanks! Looking forward to it. I'm not real "learned" in all the ways of circuitry, but I've built MANY effects and other things thanks to the knowledge base online, so I likely won't be much help in figuring out how the circuit works, but I'll be glad to lend an iron toward trying stuff. This pedal was given to me by a neighbor, so I have no cost in it thus far
