first off a link:
http://www.happybob.com/rstrand/rat/pcratrev.gif

the chinese rat reverted to the "Original RAT" circuit
**i have a chinese rat and want to make it into a USA LED RAT circuit**............

i can handle changing the two 1Ms and the 1uf- simples
the extra 10k however , by all accounts, is across the volume pot , i would love some halp on where to solder this sucker.

would it be here?

WELL well well, happy bob has mis-read those 220k resistors it seems they were 2M2 resistors.

ok so i did the 10uf cap change and the 10k across the lugs of the volume pot.
 it seems to have made the pedal a lot louder, and not a great deal else, it certainly doesnt sound any more like the USA RAT

i thought replicating a 10K pot from a 100k pot would make it less loud?!?!

i need helpppppppp!

Louder as in at max volume or louder as in it gets loud much lower down on the volume knob?

You wouldn't expect a resistor to ground on the output to change much except the volume to be honest.

What are you using as your benchmark for "USA-rat" ness?
Testing, testing, won too fwee

hi there thankyou for the reply. it seems to be louder through the whole sweep.
I have a US RAT and it sounds different to the chinese one.
I'm clutching at straws really as theres no other real differences to the circuits .
