Bumblebee thanks, you are right, the transistors need to be the other way up. I'll try them round the right way later and see how it sounds then.

Made the changes as spotted by Bumblebee, it now fuzzes :)
Reminds me of the bass on "Custer's Last Stand" by Motorpsycho

There are two versions of the Muff Fuzz, one using transistors and the other using op-amps. Actually I found the fuzz-part of the Electro-Harmonix Fuzz Wah circuit is exactly the same as the op-amp-version of the Muff Fuzz. No wonder you recognized the sound.

Yeah, the bass-sound on Custer's Last Stand is great. I guess he might have used the Fuzz Wah on that song.
