You'll recognize a sort of souped up Selmer Buzztone circuit in there. 9volts, Emitter bypass cap on the first stage, more gain on the later stages...

I'm not sure what souped means, this is what I've found in Urban Dictionary
Souped - to be happy or exited
After i fucked kevin's mom i was so souped that i bought her a vibrator to remember me by
I don't know how this apply to Buzztone, but I see not much similarities.

"Souped up" means something has been modded or altered in a way so as to improve its performance.

when I built the buzztone, I never saw that fuzz-wah schematic and ironically the only way I could get it to fire up was the same!

"So, the bottom line, only two big changes from the original: a 22uF cap across Q1's emitter resistor and a large reduction in Q3's B-C resistor."

Haha

I just realized what a strange term "souped up" is. My other choice would have been "gnarlier" but that would have been confusing as well I guess. That fuzz wah must have come after the Buzztone since the differences seem like much needed improvements.

yeah, of course they could be wrong, but according to a couple sites I visited the buzztone was '66 and the fuzz wah was '68
