Yo!

Shots of this pedal was posted on D*A*M forum while ago...
Here: http://stompboxes.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8081
Let me know what You think guys about it... I've drawn vero layout, but this don't match other know schematics for Zonk II...
Unfortunately there's no more pics to confirm components values on top of board and pots...
For me it looks like MKI.5 but without 100K resistor between Q1 base and Q2 emitter with added 680K resistor between Q1 base and collector.
Swell pot could be 100K instead 500K.

Peace!

Rare shit, indeed.
Do You think that layout is OK?
According to other Zonk II schematic this should be 470K resistor instead 470R and placed after output cap and befor volume (swell) pot, but for me 470R make sense...

there's also another version of the Sola Zonk II which apparently has a totally different circuit. Graham on the D*A*M forum owns both of them but i've never seen photos of the second...
they sure look cool!

Check out the silicon Zonk II from Fuzz Central. Not sure if it's correct, but it shows a similar configuration like the schematic above with a resistor after the output cap.

I was refering to that schematic. Similar, but there's some changes for sure (for example 5uF instead 10uF).
On photos 4... something resistor is connected to -9V for sure, so I think it isn't 470K like on this schematic... 470R just fits there...

I agree. I certainly makes more sense that way.

OK, will post here gut shots of the silicon one for reference, I think it matches Si schematic posted above.
Will add here Si layout later.

Yeah, that one should match the si version from FC. Also, I was reading on the DAM thread that the Zonk II circuit (si version) was also used in the Shatterbox. There is a schematic somewhere on this forum of the Shatterbox that Electric Warrior posted.

And a layout, too: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2051&hilit=shatterbox&start=80
It's identical with this Zonk II apart from the optional resistor that this one has in parallel with the fuzz pot and the pulldown resistor all Shatterboxes seem to have.
