I got this pedal cheap on ebay as it was broken and didn't work. On the inside still the same guts as before, just a lot of tape to keep it from short circuiting and some enlarged wires. I cleaned it up and voila, it works again like a charm.

When I opened it up first the unit did not have an inductor; it still doens't have one. It is a inductorless wah.

The fuzz part sounds like my old clone..... this unit has some 2N5133's in it that makes some real nice tones! Dig it on bass too!
The wah is different. Not a real wah wah-ish vibe, more a HiFi like wah. Noise is doable.........

The wah potmeter dates from 1971; it's a centralab potmeter (code = 1347124; Centralab, 1971, week 24)

The potmeter is broken though; I guessed it was 100k (as from the other inductorless wah that has some same circuit - NuWah) but now that I added a 100k potmeter I'm not really sure......... It functions between the extremes best.

Can someone translate the potmeter codes for me? It is 1347124 BA811 - 6309

Bernardduur, are you 100% sure about this part BA811 - 6309 ?

Some centralab pots with BA811 are showing up BA811- 1053 (this one is 500k), but not with 6309.
At least that's my strategy, check those numbers again.

There's no edit button once again. I hope, I was clear enough.

thanks for the post and pics bernardduur, am loving that styling.that stick on fuzz-velvet stuff always reminds me of those 1960s polystyrene heads with long necks covered in that stuff that hip boutiques had in their windows with huge sunglasses and big floppy hats on.

the fuzz bit sounds quite foxx tonemachine. maybe a bit more compressed sounding, but that could be the yt compression distorting things.
the wah is cool and not predictable dunlop. very envelope-y, very bubble-building-up-then-popping. i use a coloursound which is in the same area, but this (as heard in the clip below) seems to have a slightly bigger bubble. though i'm only comparing from memory. the coloursound has a wider sweep so maybe the combination of dunlop short sweep and coloursound-y envelope gives something which is not quite either. but interesting.

I know the feeling. Some of the old stuff is very difficult to get any information on. Nice pedal! Wish I had one.

Joe Gagan mentioned - ebay store "kalena_5".

PROPER PART for Foxx wahs and all FOXX pedals, OD machine, colorsound wah, Musonic, etc etc. In our extensive vintage wah research, we find that the above mentioned wahs used a 100k linear pot, usually adjusted to run the 40k to 100k sweep. This pot is a great replacement.

Noticed some 'hidden' cap on the power filtering; added that one!
The potmeter is 50k; got the old one 'working' (one part of it) and measured up to 62k in a lineair fashion.
