I made it ,aded some mod's and works very well(IMHO)

http://filters.muziq.be/model/eh/talkingpedal
http://electroconducive.googlepages.com ... H-3200.pdf

there are 2 ldr's instead of pot( so it is not like original),but it is talking nicely
AAAJJJOOOJJ
AJJEEE......
my modification is primitive but not bad:

-bright white led..glued to old wah rocker(brightness is controllable with 4k7 pot.....and that gives you variety of voice colours....from very thin ..to very deep voice)

- and I conected old wah pot to one of ldr's (switchable) so there are 3 [smilie=a_alien.gif] differend mods of talking............

try to make it I am positive You wil be happy!!!

cheers

Don't toy with my emotions on this one! I'm very close to laying out the money for a real one. We need sound samples!

Please?

It is nice to meet somebody with emotions(opened) :)
the schem is original...only problem to build is that pot......as we all know
it is not hard to make it.....and with two ldr's and one bright led in your hand
you can find your tone........
I filmed it with my nokia phone ....but don't know how to post it here [smilie=offtopic.gif] (only 240 kb)
so give me your e mail and I 'll send You gladly.......

do not worry......greetings

as you can see on this picture.....we have movable LED that can be dimed....it simulates the original pot( not bad sounding)....
:thumbsup

Sorry, I think my question was a little confusing. I understood the white LED and the original pot part. what I wanted to ask is how you connected the part of the circuit with the transistors and 2 LEDs. Just a pot in series with the battery?

the idea was tooked from here.....
http://www.geocities.com/thetonegod/roc ... /rock.html

what you should get for the original eh talkingpedal is two leds....first one should go from dark to light(mah resistance to ground)....and the other led from dark to light and to dark again(half resistance to hround and to resistance again)...that was the dual pot simulation..kind of :blackeye ........

but when I made talking pedal ,best results were with cigarette lighter(one with little LED light)....waving around LDR-s

Thanks for the answer. Wow, what a great sound this box have, I liked the soundclip a lot. I will add this to my to-build list!!! Hope to start it soon. And when I finish it, I will have lots of filter effects (I just finished a Bass Balls, building a probe-wah and the next ones are the Talking Pedal and maybe Tim Escobedo's VCF filter) .

Nice, I have a PUE Talking Pedal (a plastic Polish thing from the 70's or 80's) that does the vowel thing, I should check if it's a copy...

Ok, I finally found it, my pedal is the PUE Talker, not the PUE Talking Pedal, but it should be the same, just a different name.

I made some new pictures also from the inside:

http://filters.muziq.be/model/pue/talker

Not very sharp, but it should be enough to see if the circuit is a copy or not...

I have several other PUE pedals, some of which could be EH copies too: Attack Equalizer, Small Phaser (with phaser/vibrato switch), Sustain Filter (a very nice fuzz, but very quiet), Envelope Filter, Wah-Fuzz,... All of them are big plastic boxes :)

For the tracers I attached an improved picture of the track side derived from Discofreq´s photo.

All PUE pedals are plastic, the metal look on the inside is just paint :)

I resized the original to 40 or 50%, so I can cut this part out of the original if needed...

Every higher resolution is helpful.

I added better pictures of both sides of the PCB. It could take a while before you see them (pages are cached), so here are direct links:
