To me the wiring of the 100k at the trannieoutput w/o any decpoupling cap looks kinda strange.
Anyone got a clou why it's wired that way? Thank in advance...

With the 100k resistor the maximum collector voltage in this circuit is limited to 3V.

The V8401 had a predecessor.
I assume, that they took another circuit running on 3V ( maybe with a Ge-tranny) and "converted" it resulting in this circuit.
