Brown and green lead attach to a 500k rev log pot. FS is a SPST, looks like the allpass sections are connected/disconnected to the out jack.
Circuit board is inside black plastic box with Maxon logo. I had one of these back in 74.

I still wonder where that brand came from, until now I found 3 different Foot System effects, all made by different manufacturers:

Phase Tone (by Maxon, on eBay from time to time)
Fuzz & Wa & Volume (by fOXX, only saw 1 until now)
Mighty Mouth Voice Box (by Dean Markley, only saw 1 until now)

An interesting unit. It is very similar to the Ibanez /Maxon PT999 but not identical. The unit seems to be assembled in early 1975 so it seems to be the first of all.

I think Foot Systems bought from different manufacturers branded to their name - like many in this time did. Think about Maestro/Oberheim/ATC or the Stereo box which appeared under different brands. Also the Shin-ei/Shaftesbury.

There´s a sucker born every minute - and too many of them end up in the bootweak pedal biz.

Yes, there are a lot of companies like that, but most of those bought several models from the same factory, for Foot System I only found 3 models each from a totally different source. fOXX and Maxon made pedals for different brands, but it was the first time I saw a Dean Markley Voice Box sold under a different brand name...

With the Shin-Ei pedals it was easy to get your brand on them: it's just a little nameplate so you didn't need to order a high number of pedals to get that brand name on them, but when it's painted as on the Phase Tone I suppose they only did that for higher numbers...

???

I know, I said that :)

I just wonder where the brand comes from (a shop? an importer? USA?) and which other models they sold using that brand...

The biggest of those OEM's is probably Coron: the number of brands selling those pedals is really huge (Sanox, Storm, Frontline, Grant, JHS,...)
