Hi

I have one of these but it has realy low output(direct and effect out).Other than that it works fine.Would raising the gain of the input stage cure this or would it just mess up the triggering?

This pedal does not work. It powers on, but no sound.
It will most likely need experienced professional attention to ever work properly.
The controls all move well and the footswitch clicks on and off well.
It is missing the bottom panel attachment screws.
One of the wires for the footswitch has come off.
The housing has quite bit of scratching in the paint but is structurally solid and sturdy.
This pedal is for auction as-is for parts or repair.
........168$......not working,but clicking :|

My Octave Multiplexer is another pedal than the one in the auction. But I'm too lazy right now to research what kind of models they produced. AG will know anyway .

The octave (down) effect is rather ridiculous, because not audible at all. Some change in tone is there, but surely no octave(s). I never cared much for that, or the pedal itself, didn't look inside to see if there would be something to do. The fuzz is quite nice and I really like it, but it's nothing special. As is probably the case with most fuzz pedals... Also not really flexible. Unless it's turned up almost full, it sounds really weak and boring. Once a year or so I crank up the pedal and the amp to shock my neighbours on their bloody sundays, it serves at least that purpose quite well.

There are 7 RC4558, one CA3098E, one 4013, one NE5554 and one BC309 hiding under fuzz the pot. Obviously the schematic from that infamous archive that appeared some time ago or the one posted above don't match. If somebody is really interested in tracing, I can provide more infos and pictures.

And if anybody wants to see some guts of the EH Hot Tubes Overdrive, I have that lying around somewhere

Hi

I think there may be something wrong with yr Octave Multiplexer. I own the yellow version personally and a friend of mine used to own one like yrs. Both have/had a very nice and loud octave sound. How does it sound with the blend pot all the way to the right? This should be the octave down only.

:hmmm: what do you think about an Arion MOC-1 ?

Anyway, the Del. Octave Multiplexer from marshmelllow is an intersting unit it was produced at the beginning of 1978 and has similarities to the Microsynth. So it seems to be a Cockerell design. The schematic floating around is from November 1978 and appears to be (re-)designed by Howard Davis. The CA3098 for example has been replaced by a LM 311. I have to dig into this a little bit more.

It appears to me that there could be used the old FET-based Soul-preacher compressor inside, therefore what is written on the Ge-diodes ? 1N 3666 maybe ?
