Ibanez AF-201 Auto-Filter

A couple of people asked me to post this. Though I have to say that after opening it for the first time, I'm a little less inclined to pursue it myself.

As you can see, it has two stacked PCBs — which explains how they managed to provide so many filtering options in a small-format stompbox. It's the smallness that's much of the appeal to me — this doesn't necessarily sound better than a Mu-Tron or the like — the coolness is that it provides Mu-Tron-style options in a Boss-sized box. But it'll take someone with a lot more skill than me to build this in a small enclosure. And if it's destined for a large enclosure, I'd just recommend one of the existing M-Tron/Q-Tron-type projects. Just my two cents.

The pics (and large pics they are!) are in the AF-201 folder at http://idisk.mac.com/joegore-Public?view=web.

Best,

Joe

Dirk is going to love you for posting this ! He is WAY into Ibanez pedals, and this one might be a great one for him to work on.

Thanks indeed. I'm going to compare to the to the AF9 tonight as I expect quite some similarities.
Sorry. Plain out of planes.

That took a litle bit longer. Sorry.

But comparing pics I have absolutely no reason to believe there's any other differences between the 201 and the AF9 than the adater jack.

Which also means that it will go back to my "to do list in, regrettably, too little time.
