Gut shot from a recent ebay auction, but couldn't find any schematic to complement it. It was/is reissued, that I read. This should be an original 1973 one though.

It looks really cool! What does the theadle alter?

2 stomp switches : on/off and foot control mode
2 foot control modes : modulation frequency or mix (normal vs effected sound)

Here is a demo:

The "detuning" mode is interesting.

oooooh...I like this pedal very muchoooo!!!

seems to have one dual OPamp and chip for ring modulation(like freqencu analizer?)......not so complicated...guts...

schematic would be great to see......

At least the reissue uses a 1496.

Yes, the 1496 is much more common than the 1495.

The 1495 is used in the famous Maestro Ring Modulator--
https://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/ ... .msg355737

Think I saw a pcb layout somewhere (??) :hmmm:
EDIT: try here--- :)
http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/con ... ew/114/26/

ALL of PAIA's Ring modulators use the 1496.
4710, 9710, 9748(newest)
Easily adapted to guitar/bass.

Thank you AG and ToneMan for answering......

but colorsound RingMod is nowhere to find on the net.........trace side photo...components.....schematic....

I really like that only demo I saw.....hmmmmmm......I like all colorsound pedals( and EH...and others)...

Nobody selling schem......nobody have guts.......man I feel like I am living in Serbia :slap:

that is where I get interested who knows .....I'll find it here in flea market, and then post some PCB pictures.... :blackeye

thanks

Boris

The thing that bothers me about the photo is it only has 2 opamps. I wonder if it is based on something like Craig Anderton's LM565 circuit?

Hej! Prijatelju!
LMAO!!!! Boris!

I'm just in Kali-Forneeah
(Arnoldspeak: he won't be back) (ya gotta live here to understand  )

Back to stomping.....
If the CSRM uses a 633 (8pin), or equiv (635, 655 etc) I have circuits for those too.

BUT Boris,
the CSRM is "just" a RingModulator(actually a BalancedModulator) that has a built-in oscillator for the carrier.
The Oscillator frequency is controlled by the footpedal.
U could adapt a Maestro schematic or a PAIA to do the same thing. 8)

Did U look at the old threads on the LoveTone RingStinger that MarkusW and I worked on??
He called his the "StringRinger"; mine was the "RingOlation".

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/paul.nelso ... erv12r.pdf

Can't find his pictures; think they both were on that "other" forum
No special chips; but built in oscillator that was VoltageControlled (VCO); so, U could use a voltage pedal.
Did a lot of tricks to that thingie; got some super sounds out of it!

What RMs have U built??

I recommend not to forget to have a look at the Dod - Gonkulator (FX13) schematic:

Hej! Prijatelju!
................... :thumbsup hey friend!!!!......you speak serbian very well!!!!!!!... Arnold problems? :D .....we all have our Arnolds
You were involved in Ring Stinger clone!!!!....great.....actually I have build 2 of them, but based on the original PCB photos....so PCB is just like original one.....works great, but I want to see colorsound scheme...... :D

...sooo when Mr AG say...
I recommend not to forget to have a look at the Dod - Gonkulator
......that have some background weight....so I'll go that way too.......thank you AG :thumbsup

...it is not urgent or something like that, I only get nervous when there is no schem to be found on internet.......(.like that ZVex jonyOctave :D )...........all schemos should be availyble................

thanks to you all for helping
Boris

Great gut shots DoomRock :!:

Looks like 1496, 741 and 2 trannies.
I make out "EBC" on the right trannie.
Looks like a dual pot on the treadle.
That's your HFO (HighFrequencyOscillator)

Just your average RingModulator..
The Gonkuolator is good.
The RingStinger is more complicated, but, IMHO, well worth it.
For a clone that is, not the inflated Ebay price.
