Being one to experiment, I'm building a Frankenaxe from a Kramer Pacer body and a Jackson neck. The Pacer is routed for two humbuckers and has control cavity spots for three pots and a pickup selector. I'm using push-pull 500K pots for the two volumes and one tone control, and have popped a couple of DPDT mini toggles in to boot.
I'm trying to get as many combinations out of this setup as possible. Where I keep running into a problem is trying to find a way to switch both humbuckers in a series configuration where I don't end up with a "mute" if the wrong pickup happens to be selected by itself.
Has anyone else out there found a killer wiring setup for one of these? I know Stewart-MacDonald's web site has some diagrams, but I'm trying to do each pickup as a single coil by itself and none of theirs quite suits my needs.

Here are a couple of weired-guitar-schematics resource that might keep you busy for some time :

The series switch i wired on my SG does bypass the pickup selector, no risk of dead spot then.
There is also a way to wire two coils of a humbucker with two DPDT switches where both off is series, both on is parallel, and either one on is single coil. This could be used for whole pickups as well.
