Anyone got any info on the Earthquaker Terminal Fuzz? I know it's based off a Shin Ei Companion fuzz but due to the fact that the original only has 2 knobs and this one has 4, there are obviously a few modifications to it. I'm guessing one is the well documented mid-scoop pot mod, but would love a few finer details, and to find out what else has been tweaked!

Thanks

I would think it is similar to the Companion Fuzz with the Mark Hammer Mods.

Do you assume that the Treble Pot in the Terminal Fuzz is the Body of the Accomplish and the Voice Pot is the Scoop?

Thats what I am assuming, but I have absolutely nothing to base that on.

I didn't find a demo of the Accomplice jr to compare the sound.

Here some schematics that could give us some ideas to find out how to get a Treble Pot.

GGG version has a slightly different boost than the Accomplice jr schematic.

The Terminal has a lot more low end than the original FY-2 Companion Fuzz, so I presume they've increased the value of one/some of the capacitors.

But so far we're all just guessing... does anyone actually own a Terminal and care to draw up a schematic or at least post a photo of the board?

We'd all be very grateful.

:D

Nice work! Can you take another shot of the top at an angle where the resistor to the right of the 104 cap just below the Voice pot, and the resistor to the left of Q3? And can you tell if there's a trace going from lug 2 of the Level pot to the lower 10uF cap? Thanks!

Thanks !, I updated the photos.

In fact the 10UF cap is connected to lug 2 of the Level pot and the values that were not seen are 470R( Q3) and 1.5K (104 cap)

Awesome. Can you tell what middle lug of the Voice pot is connected to? It's definitely a modded Shin Ei Companion Fuzz, btw. Mods being a pre-gain control (Fuzz pot), the Voice pot tweaking the tone stack, and an added gain recovery stage.

Sure!, apparently I totally forgot that line.

The lug 2 and lug 3 are connected
