The Swiss Army Commander. The Foxcatcher Overdrive & Boost is the result of a six month trial and study. After a variety of breadboard builds and circuit explorations, we finally decided to clear the breadboard and start with a circuit that we loved, the Bluesbreaker. From there, we began changing and adding to the base circuit. The first of which was a slight change to the tone section and the addition of the Nature knob. From there, we added an output buffer and true bypass stylings. From the start, we wanted to have an independent boost section on the pedal. That decision was easy, our Gravity Bomb. Once real world testing was in full swing, we started showing friends, family and local dealers. Taking everyones critiques in to consideration, we added an effect order toggle switch. Lastly, we incorporated a Burr Brown audiophile op amp and made it so that Foxcatcher can receive up to 18 volts. This allows for even more clarity. John du Pont’s signature pedal. Your new favorite overdrive!

The drive side of the CopperSound Foxcatcher is a tweaked Bluesbreaker. The boost is their fantastic sounding Gravity Bomb (which utilizes a Burr Brown audiophile op-amp). The Foxcatcher can run anywhere between 9 and 18 Volts

Bigger pictures of the PCB with an higher resolution and the real colors are needed to find out the schematic.

Hi heyveno,

thanks for uploading the shots.
Not all values are visible, please fill in the values of the capacitors and of the pots too into the image.

Hi heyveno
I started the tracing according the shots.
Please, can you verify the filled in values und fill in the unknown values of the components labeled with question marks.
The PCB got multiple layers.
There are a lot of small solder pads, leading to these intrior conductor tracks.
There are also conductor tracks which are covered by potentimeters.
I ought to hold the PCB in my hands,to carry out the complete tracing.
I fear I can trace only a part of the circuit.

The opamp on the left is OPA134 (single). The one on the right is not that readable, first number for sure is 2, over all it looks to me as OPA2134 (dual).

I filled in some conductor tracks in my layout copy.
I give up the tracing, because there are too many covered conductor tracks and unknown connections of the interior conductor tracks.
It is impossible to do the tracing from the shots, it is necessary to have the pedal itself.

thank you,

I can not disassemble it because I have (still) return it to the manufacturer, 3rd failure that I have.

I like the sound, but too many problems with it, I wanted to identify and improve it.

I thank you again for your work, we will still be able to compare the draft PCB to bluesbraker and can be found like that.
