Handy tool for Vero-board users

I do most of my stuff on vero board, and was getting frustrated with the effort needed to make trace cuts. You can scrape a cut in a track, but it always seemed like such a manual process that would leave lots of room for error. Otherwise I had been drilling my trace cuts, which works just fine but it kind of overkill for such a soft material. It really only need a few twists on a drill bit, and getting out the whole drill to do so was such a pain. What to do....
Well I talked to the tool guy at my local hardware store who directed me towards something called a PIN VISE. Its just like a screwdriver with a little chuck in it for holding drill bits. I bought it, and one bit of the right size (forget what I determined proper vero-cutting size to be) which I leave clamped in the pin vise. Now I have a little hand tool which is always out on my bench and that makes trace cuts in vero with only about 4 or 5 twists of my wrist.
maybe this is old knowledge around here, but i found it to be tremendously useful.

Yeah i've got one of those too, it's just a 3.55mm Drill bit with a handle attached but it's surprisingly effective and hasn't worn out as fast as I supsected it might.Hides-His-Eyes wrote:I have a vero-break cutter that cost £3 from bitsbox.co.uk
