Hi,

I need some help, the LED stays on when the effect is bypassed.

I used this layout:

and this hookup:

I used a 1k5 resistor for R1

Can't figure this one out.

Thanks,
Mike

I still can not find and shorts or opens. All offboard connections check out fine.

The LED stays on when bypassed.

What am I missing?

After struggling with this for a couple days, checking and rechecking my soldering and trying different resistor values I decided to take out the Millenium C and replace it with a Millenium 1 using a J201. Same problem, LED stays on.

So then I removed the stomp switch and wired the control of the Mill 1 directly to the output of the effect, same problem.

I remembered reading the effect needs to have a high DC resistance to ground for the Mill 1 to work, so I then connected the control of the Mill 1 to a 3 meg resistor to ground instead of the output of the effect and the LED goes out. Disconnect from the 3 Meg and the LED is back on. OMG!

I measure 12k from the effect output to ground, is this the problem???

The effect is a Wampler 57 clone.

Problem solved, solder bridge between 8th and 9th rails.
