First build BJM Harmonic Converger Help

Hi,
so my first build is this.

with this layout.

I've managed to diagnose the power problems, and replace a bad cap solder on C11. However. The problem now is that the P1 should controll the curve of the filter but it's acting like a Volume Pot.

Any ideas? Where should I go from here? I've checked grounds and voltage is going where it should. I've begun to triple check that I've got the build right. I double checked as I went.

Ok, I've double checked the layout to what I build, checking the part, position and visual check of the solder on back to the layout, I crossed off every part verifying where it should be. To my eyes, everything seems correct

any help with where to from here would be great!

Should the top side of R12 on the layout be one track higher?

so It's the left hand side of the chip. the right hand side is working ok it seems.
