Please post your schematic from your tracing.

I'm a Chinese, this may take a little time to sort out my documents.I want to write something here recently about this pedal .as you know, maybe I need to translate my idea to english

we always wait you
and i think for almost member here, the language of your idea is just scheme only, explanation later :secret:

Indeed. It seems that there are a bit of similarities, in particular, with it and the Pinnacle LE. The latter was traced out in what I think was a Pinnacle II thread. So I went and dropped in the capacitor values for the LE, and then looked at the Sovereign. I tried to label what I thought might be the cap equivalents.

I figured that until someone has one to trace, that the next step would be figuring out the resistor values, and then they could be cross-referenced to the Pinnacle as well.

This seemed like as good a place as any to start. I hope it helps.
I have already traced this pedal

In the right tab below the text box it says "Upload attachment" - use that.

This is the second version of Pinnacle

Referring to the schematic posted last year, does anyone know the purpose of the MOSFET in the power section of the schematic? I have never seen that before.

Mike

Hi
this is reverse polarity protection

I pretty much use that Mosfet polarity protection in most of my builds. You can read how it all works on R.G's Geofex site.

Recently picked up a broken Sovereign for free from someone.
However, some parts were taken out of the circuit and the pedal dissembled.
I've managed to replace the missing parts and attach the input, output, and power supply correctly..well...hopefully.
Can anyone give advice on how the original schematic wires up the foot switch and input and outputs?

This schematic is the original pedal that I duplicated, but as far as I know, there are many versions of the pedal circulating in the market.it is difficult to determine whether the circuit you see is consistent with what I see.

Hope to be of use to you,Forgive my poor English

Hi all,

I know this is an old thread but Ive been trying to get this circuit working for a while now and having exhausted all the usual troubleshooting stuff I was wondering if anyone thought the 10 ohm resistor in the power section could be causing an issue?

I know in the pinnacle the same resistor was actually burning up for some people from being too low a value, and in this circuit it is connected to the IC, I was wondering if maybe the IC was being fried each time as a result of too much current?

Im not too experienced so am most likely talking shit but I know a few people have had a similar issue to me with this build (too low gain)

Let me know what yas think..

No. Unless it is not 10 ohm and has way greater value.

This resistor burned because some dum-dums shorted VCC to ground somewhere.
