All that PCB acreage and still they need to stand up the resistors. Looks like about three dozen vias as well.

mmmh, i see opamps are soldered directly on the PCB, without sockets: i think there's not space for smd diodes under them, but who knows...

One guess I'm going to make from what I can see: I think the high cut control is going to be very similar to the one on the Zendrive/Timmy/Rat/ lots of other types.

I looked at the PC board of one of these, I could not see any diodes except one for power supply polarity protection.
So, I wonder how the distortion is being generated.?
