I finally got my spark booster clone mounted in its enclosure. being that the veroboard was so large, I was kinda surprised that I could actually fit it into a 1590B (YAY).

nice!! What relay board is that by the way? It seems small enough to fit a 1590A....

I have just repaired a Spark Booster, that did not power up, by replacing R46 1 Ohm, that is in series with the protection diode D9 (D7 in the schematics), with a jumper wire. R46 in this pedal was not 1 Ohm (anymore) but 730 kOhm! This resulted in not having +9V power on the PCB.
After R46 was jumpered, all was working well again!

Some PCB pics:
R46 still on the PCB

Hi all,
IIRC that's my first post in this forum, so for starters a simple question: would it make sense to power the Spark with 12 or 18 volts for more headroom? The listed op amps here can all take it according to their data sheets.
Cheers!

You have to check if the electrolytic capacitors can handle the higher voltages.
