NICE :)

If someone could reverse that I would be interested. Very underated pedal IMO.

Catalinbread is great at cramming a bunch of parts into a small box-

A distortion built around a dual opamp (TL072) with 2x 2 clipping diodes... I look no further...sorry

Really? 'Cause I see a 3-band eq and I'm thinking this is the key to its popularity. From what I've heard, it's more of a flexible booster/eq and incidentally a distortion as well. Looks like a great job packing a lot of useful power into a tiny box to me. I think the relatively low parts count on the pcb is maybe a bit deceptive.

The EQ on this thing was really nice. I had the first version and couldn't get along with it. Then a few days after I sold it Catalinbread announced a revision and upgrade. I got a hold of the second version and really liked it. Not sure why I sold it but played a Mk.II recently and it sounds like something may have changed again. I didn't look inside so I can't say for but that second revision was my favorite.
The television will not be revolutionized.

here's a plug. Still only a $120-170 pedal...

for what it's worth it's a nice demo. But you can get a nice clean boost from just about every $15 overdrive pedal in my experience. But the three band EQ is often overlooked in overdrives, though standard in a lot of "amp circuit" emulation distortions.

If you cannot call this a three band EQ TS, then it still is something to try. I don't know..

One of their better boxes, I've had trouble with some of their stuff in the past. This pedal restord my faith in Catalinbread.

Sorry we couldn't offer you an endorsement. I thought you and I talked this out? Cause I don't want any bad blood and it is not personal. I simply find endorsements manipulative of the normal folks who'd buy our products. Maybe someday I will figure a way around such a thing until then we wouldn't endorse god herself... But I do think your music is compelling. And I mean that. For all those interested check it out. http://www.myspace.com/theblackcrayons

Well then, would you mind sharing some pictures of both sides of the pcb?
(just between you, the devil and me?)

the moderators at the catalinbread forum gave me a hint.

They said the 3-Band Eq follows something like this: http://freecircuitdiagram.com/wp-conten ... ircuit.jpg

I have two of the early ones and they both sound totally different, both great but different, very under rated pedal. IIRC the ones I have are built on perf board or perhaps a self etched PCB, haven't opened either of them up for a while.
