Does anyone have a schematic for this beast (or access to one)? I have been looking for it for the last 7-8 years, but was never able to find it.
This pedal was frequently used by Brian May in his early years.

The pedal is currently being reissued, but the price is a bit steep (>$300!).

I would love to have a copy of that schematic. I've looked too.

WOW! I didn't know these even existed! Sooo... Is it like the fuzz wah, with dual circuits, or does the foot control the sweep of the phase? Please don't tell me it just controls the speed of the lfo...

No way... it's definitely a fet-based phaser, no BDD inside!

The enclosure looks killer tho... 300 is pricey but it sure is stylish too!

The fuzz side would be the tone machine right?

Yeah, the fuzz in a fuzz wah is the tone machine. This is a different animal.

I googled it and read a sales blurb, and they say the pedal controls speed in 'auto mode', and phase in manual mode. That must be what the rotary switch selects...

What is not clear is what was meant by controlling "phase"- did they mean it literally, as in controls the sweep, or did they just mean depth? Controlling the sweep would be a whole lot more useful... and... fun.

Yo

My friend has one of the new ones. He loves it. I haven't had a chance to play through it but from what he says the manual mode lets you control the sweep similar to the way an envelope filter can be set to manual control for a fixed filter. I would be pretty curious to see a schematic as well.

I think this would be a good project for the tracers fund. if we can find someone to do the reversing and there's enough interest of course.

The originals used a 2N4302 JFET, later and current models use the PN4302. I build a clone of this circuit that runs in autophase only...the way Brian May ran his...and fit it in a 1590 case. I call it the MAY-Z-PHAZE

The schematic...sure. I dont have a scanner but I can try to get a good pic of it.

Recently, I took an old REGAL marked volume pedal (Foxx made) and installed one of my PCB's into the shell...here are some pics. This one is going on my 70's style BM pedalboard.
