Hey, it's got a buffer!! That's pretty new.

At the very least, the build quality looks to be pretty good, and the prices aren't insane.

So based on the schematics here, I did a board mounted pcb layout. I included a partlst but I have to confess I'm not sure about the fractional-value capacitor listings

the "fractional value" is just value/voltage. thanks for the layout!

yeah, I like their stuff. I'm definitely a fan of the sounds that he focuses around, and the general aesthetic is very cool, too.

Make sure those pads are big enough for 2mm drills.
Testing, testing, won too fwee

that's a good point. I've recently started doing some more iron on transfer etching, and I'm really not having fun. I've decided to start making the pads huge, even though I generally use #68 drill bits, and at least .05 traces for easier etching.

I've moved the etching methods discussion here:

Dirk, is the orientation of C3 and C7 correct? C3 with positive to input and negative to supply for C7? :?:

The AC128 transitor has a widely spread in DC-current gain,
if only because it is essential to know the gain of the used one to ensure the funktion of the device.
I would appreciate very much, if someone could measure the voltages on the transistor leads and Vcc as well at the original device.

The Q2 stage is derived from the Dallas Rangemaster circuit, from there the gain range of the applied AC128 should be 80 - 100 for best sounding.

I took a snapshot of the Crimson PCB on a demo video.
EQD_CrimsonDriveShot.jpg
There are a glass Germanium transistor and two original 1N60 are applied.
Which PCB-type is built-in at the latest Crimson version.

The version with the OC139 NPN Germanium Transistor is definitely the last one.
Can anyone take a better photo of the PCB and excerpt the part values?
I would appreciate it very much.

I have seen that the device is not longer in the product range, I suppose the OC139 transistors are now very rare.
Here the the traced schematic of the OC139 version:
