Hi everyone here is some guts shots of the moen holy choir chorus. I know that a lot of these pedals are copys of a schematic out there that is another pedal for instance the moen unicomp is a diamond compressor the moen shaky jimi is a john hollis easyvibe so basically i would like it if anyone could verify by the guts shots what this one has been copied from. It hasn't become apparent to me. But if anyone can tell i would love to hear from you. Hope you enjoy the guts shots! :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :applause: :applause: :applause:

jrc version of a tl022, I guess. Maybe you can see from the connections if it's a standard dual opamp?

I'm really impressed with that for the price. Wasn't expecting an MN3007/3101

yeah i've had a good look at a lot of the cheap pedals and moen generally wins on build and through ease of getting apart and modding hands down every time. I like there pedals for the price and easy to mod to turn into so called boutique. they are also allready true bypass. I am not trying to put an advert up i just reckon for someone who wants to tweak an exisiting pedal for the price these are the go.

My Moen encounters have been positive too. I've got the MO-FM Fuzz Moo and it is a really good sounding muff, in fact one of the best sounding muffs I've played. In fact that's a good point, I could do with opening it up and seeing what's in there.

I love hearing something reasonably priced is good quality. What is the verdict on the Holy Choir. Is it worth owning?

yeah it's not bad as is but iam going to mod the hell out of mine. First thing is to pull out those horrid jrc4558 i hate those op amps all there good for is a tube screamer. put some nice lf353's in well i like them. Taste on op amps is another whole fiasco in itself. the other thing i will do is look for any shit electrolytics and replace them if there anywhere near the signal path. other than that may play with the oscillation speed and look putting a volume control if needed. But some of that stuff will be only if i think it needs it.

I reckon from a fair bit of study of the board on this one that's it's pretty damn close to a boss ce-2 need follow it with a fine tooth comb to see the main difference's correct me if iam wrong but it seems that way. a change to fet op amps would give it that warmer sound that a chorus should have. why oh why would they use those shitty jrc4558's you need your head read if you use them in a chorus.
