Hi,
I have something interesting, as everyone waited for some time. Photos of MXR Fullbore Metal. I'd have more, trace the path and made a schematics, but unfortunately my friend sold his brilliant effect (stupid ...). Maybe someone has a few photos, from which we could learn something. Or partially trace this.

I don't like smd too. But we should try to do schematics from the pictures and then ... build greater version without smd.

The pictures are too rough to trace. Try using macro mode on your camera

There is nothing wrong with SMD in my book, they have crammed a lot into this lil'ole pedal, i'd be interested is seeing the tone stack/scoops etc. Thanks for the pics
It's fairly straight forward, if you want to start it , press start. You can work out the rest of the controls for yourself !

No silicon heaven ? preposterous ! Where would all the calculators go ?

I think all hate SMD because that nearly impossible to repair . Big crappy compagny espacially for that (broken ? go buy another one) .

Anyways, the fz2 is nice (I have one) but quickly boring , not really useable like a "main" fuzz pédal (expect if you play in "fu manchu" )

Just picked up this pedal and love it. Want to learn more about how it works but, I'm so not surprised the schematic is not readily found on dem internetz. This pedal does what it does very well. I would love to see some more control over the scoop, maybe a q adjustment. I have to say, for $50, I can't say I'm disappointed.

The pictures were hosted by imageshack. I uploaded them in 2010. Since then, policies of imageshack have changed many times. The files have been deleted and I do not have a backup either.

Hello, just got the pedal, but tracing is out of my reach. If someone has time and the will (as well as the necessary equipment: the capacitors must be removed and measured individually!) I will be happy to donate mine for those who want to take on this heavy work. Let me know.

Maybe, but why not? Something interesting might pop up, and maybe teach us something new. I learned a lot from the Zoom TM-01 diagram, then I built a clone and finally a very personal version of it.

This also has a noise gate, and I'm always curious how they implemented that.

Is the Fullbore related to the metal zone at all? To me it sounds pretty similar.
