Check this out...From youtube...5 transistors (maybe j20, used often), power mosfet for polarity protection, and a JRC4580D... no onboard pots names/values
- 4 cascaded JFET gain stages, the 5th being a buffer before the tone stack(see Dr Boogey)
- a BMP tone stack with variable mid pot (see Tube Zone)
- an output opamp buffer to recover the loss of amplitude (see Pinnacle II LE)
- the bright switch would add a bright cap somewhere around the gain pot (think Marshall amp)
- the boost switch changes the voltage dividing network between stage 2 and 3 (probably)
I have been thinking about making a Dr Boogey with a BMP tone stack with mid control for a long time. It seems I was not the only one.
Actually it is the polarity protection. Read this article by R. G. Keen. The advantage of this method is the very low voltage loss across it, as opposed to usual series diode which eats around 0.6V.

Indeed. It seems that there are a bit of similarities, in particular, with it and the Pinnacle LE. The latter was traced out in what I think was a Pinnacle II thread. So I went and dropped in the capacitor values for the LE, and then looked at the Sovereign. I tried to label what I thought might be the cap equivalents.
I figured that until someone has one to trace, that the next step would be figuring out the resistor values, and then they could be cross-referenced to the Pinnacle as well.
This seemed like as good a place as any to start. I hope it helps.
