Hi,
I've got some (de gooped) gutshots, I messed it up pretty bad when I was scraping off the goop but you should be able to make out most of the circuit from these shots...
I'm going to desolder and measure some components and get back to you. (i need to replace the diodes that i broke also).

haven't got around to it yet, i've got a couple of other things on the go. i'll do another post when more info arises.briggs wrote: How's the desolder going?
i'm looking forward to seeing how this works, i think it is somewhat similar to an octave fuzz without the octave .... some kind of wave rectification going on..

Hi theblackman,
(and hi to all the other freestompboxers, I think I'm gonna like it here... )
maybe you could take a look at this: https://img171.imageshack.us/img171/3407/boardux1.jpg
and confirm what I've drawn out compared to the original board. The marked areas were kinda hard to recognize. But this is the way it makes the most the sense to me. Doing the schematic is a piece of (hot ) cake from there on.
The smaller PCB containing the DPDT is only some weird buffer/bypass switching would be my guess? So I would leave that away.
theblackman, if you're already on this I don't want to interfere you. But I always wanted to see what's going on with this pedal and couldn't believe my eyes when it appeared here. So...
Cheers,
Volker

I´ve traced the schematic and it is waiting for some resistor values ....I'm going to desolder and measure some components and get back to you. (i need to replace the diodes that i broke also).

There´s a sucker born every minute - and too many of them end up in the bootweak pedal biz.

ah I'm sorry, I'm so lazy! AG are you still waiting on values for the Octane 3 too??

Ah, that's some good news. Although this leaves me without work now...analogguru wrote:I´ve traced the schematic and it is waiting for some resistor values ....I'm going to desolder and measure some components and get back to you. (i need to replace the diodes that i broke also).

Are there any sound clips of this pedal online anywhere?

I think this might be the only stompbox so far that has been a song dedicated to... There is a song called "Harmonic Generator" by the band The Datsuns, a quality rock'n'roll band from New Zealand by the way (but their third album was kinda weak unfortunately, the first is really sweet from start to end). Harmonic Generator is also printed on the enclosure it's in. I believe it's played in the second solo (maybe also the rhythm guitar?). Not so sure, I haven't heard it in real life yet. That's how I came across this pedal first. Anyway, it's some kind of special fuzz.

These 2 were good info. The P&C sounds great on bass.

which one are you referring to on the photo?? the one I have written as 56K or the one that is written as 2K?
the 56K one was desoldered and measured with a multimeter FYI.

thanks kaz.
if you make a schematic be sure to post it for the rest of the forum. thanks .

Hello,theblackman.
Very very Thanks!!
I want you to teach a value of the resistance of the relay circuit if all right.
The main schematic was done.
I want to upload a schematic, but the number of the contributions is insufficient, and it seems to be no use.

sorry, I can't really understand what you are trying to say, there maybe something getting lost in translation here?
what do you need to know?
Note: My electronics skills are not very good, I don't know what the relay circuit is. Are you talking about the daughter board that does all the switching? If so it seems to be exactly the same as the hotcake, but I can provide some more details if you like.
