There´s a sucker born every minute - and too many of them end up in the bootweak pedal biz.

Never hurts to get all the information available while it's still available.bajaman wrote:...I downloaded them all...
They could move it or make it an on demand service or whatever tomorrow and the whole lot would disappear.

I think my "IP-police"-friend PT could get nuts with some of the free-ed IP-content like the tube-zipper or the tube-eq....

Stupid DSP. People are amazed at what the POG can do..... it's just a computer! I wonder what the "Hazarai" opcode is?
They're still cool-sounding effects, but the DSP thing kinda puts it in the same category as some kind of Digitech multi-effector, except it only does one effect. It's cool that they can do that now, but it's not exactly one for analog purists is it?

After all the IP protective discussions... and "don't post pictures" harrasment.
Damn. I've gotta change underwear. This is so cynical.... so awfully cynical.

Hmm... I think DSP chips are the ultimate in IP protection. You can't make a copy of the program running on the chip because it would be a clear case of copyright infringement. If people wanted to clone a DSP based effect, they'd have to start from scratch and write their own program to do the same thing.

I had a chance to discuss this matter with the guys of alesis about 20 years ago....:You can't make a copy of the program running on the chip because it would be a clear case of copyright infringement.
"...You can´t get a copyright for mathematic algorithms...and at least a reverb programm is nothing else than a mathematic algorithm...."
