Jeff
Yes, the probes are fine...
the sloped lines on the clipped portion are due to the fact the 'scope was set on AC.. my friend who's smarter than me tells me that for low frequencies I need to set it on DC, or use an external coupling cap.
The results are still valid, but set to DC the slope is gone.

I am looking for the correct and updated circuit of the EP booster, and was wondering if it is the one on PDF titled EPA Booster. Also, again, being the new guy, I am not sure how or where a stomp switch would be wired into the circuit, or why the circuit shows SW1 and SW2.
I see two switches in the schematic, but the actual Xotic EP booster I used only had a stomp switch, power LED, and the cool knob that lights up.
If I can see something, I can generally take it apart and rebuild it, but, I am finding it a bit harder to read schematics and translate them into stomp switches, jacks, and potentiometers, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 2 switches are just little DIP switches mounted on the board to provide some eq trim.
As far as the footswitch goes, you need to get a diagram of how to wire an effect with a 3PDT switch and it'll explain all.
The info at www.tonepad.com is good.

Well... several people have built one in various forms if you read the thread.
The pics of the board are there, a schematic.. I think you have everything you need.
Why not build one and tell us how it works.

OK, I'll build one this weekend. I actually collect Echoplexes and other vintage tape delays so I can compare it to the real thing and let you know. Am I correct in assuming that the EPA! Booster is the only PCB available at this stage?
BTW - here's an example of why this thing was such a PITA to trace..
This single connection changes sides on the board through vias no less than 5 times , while travelling under the pot, the Electro, etc.
Green is top of board, red is bottom.

Hi, I've built this booster and changed the layout so dipswitches could be used , dimensions of the print are 45x25mm
I like the sound , there's not much volume boost but it works well with my guitar and amp , slightly fattening the sound .

Hi, thats fucking uber cool, but don't you think it would be nice to post your layout, as a form of thank you?
Just one question. All the circuits and PCB's shown in this thread seem to be equivalent. I did notice that on Theo's post, the R6 is listed as having a value of 10K, and the other circuits call out a 1K resisitor.
Does it matter, and if so, which is correct, 10K or 1K??

Thanks.
The schematic is on the first page of the thread..

I saw that, and on yours, Elrengora's, and Moska's parts list, the R6 (or its equivalent) is listed as 1K and on the parts list that Theo submitted, that value was changed to 10K.
I assume that 1K is correct, but want to verify, before I start to build this.

The schematic is right, so any changes are a variation or a mistake.
