Re: Mad Professor Forest Green Compressor [traced]
BTW, IvIark mentioned that he couldn't tell the difference between the sustain/comp settings on his build either, so I still do think that the switch part of the circuit mustn't be correct. I've tried everything that I can imagine (i.e. socketed a lot of the parts to make it the pcb version, and th...

Re: J. Everman - Fuzz Drive G2
The transistors are sanded so I don´t know the type. I guess any NPN transistor is fine... I could unsolder(?) the transistors and check out the hFe. You can also just build it and try it out yourself which type works well.

Yeah, they´re really nice PCBs. I have one board waiting to be built. Thank you Steve for the PCB and the whole projectGreenmachine wrote:If you haven't ordered a Bajaman board - they're awesome. Highly recommended.

muchos gracias, senor mictester ! just got finished putting one of these bad boys together and it really sounds good .... i'll be posting a verified vero-board layout and a soundclip shortly ! Verified vero layout would be great! I´ve been wanting to build one of these for a while now, but no free ...

Guyatone - TD-X Tube Echo (Flip Series) [schematic]
Hi!
I promised to put the schematic here already some days ago, but didn´t have enough time. So, here it is... if there is a thread about this pedal, moderators could move the schematic there or something.

Re: Good parallel or serial effects loop schematic needed
Okay, so I built the higher voltage Kleinulator and it works great with my SLOclone, D´Lite and JTM-45 clone :) However, I used a TCL7660CPA charge pump chip since it was the only type my local electronics shop had... and now I get a very very quiet, high pitch whine. Turning the recovery knob highe...

Re: Good parallel or serial effects loop schematic needed
I have thought of just moving the SLO loop after master volumes and before the PI, but at the time I decided to remove the whole loop... sound is great without the loop. I´ve heard that the SLO loop sucks tone and isn´t very well designed. That´s why I´m asking for a transparent, well designed loop ...

Re: Good parallel or serial effects loop schematic needed
Thanks for the reply! I have started to build the kleinulator long time ago but I haven´t had time to finish it so far. I´m also wondering if the 9v version clips easily for example with the SLO... of course I could add more power supply filtering and upgrade the caps etc. to higher voltage ones to ...

Good parallel or serial effects loop schematic needed
Hi! I built a Soldano SLO 100 clone and I´d like to have a better effects loop for it. Does anyone have a good parallel or serial effects loop schematic (tube or solid state) that I could use. Or suggestions which amplifier would have a good, transparent loop. I´d be using it with a rack reverb/dela...

Re: J. Everman - Fuzz Drive G2
I uploaded a crappy handmade drawing to the link which you can find from my first post. I think the traces are drawn right too, but I guess you should check all the real pics and make your own layout. I have never made a schematic before so maybe someone else could do it faster and better... at the ...

Re: VooDoo Lab Micro Vibe [schematic]
I think Micro Vibe sounds really great and is really well priced and has a nice size for a pedalboard. I have never had a chance to play a real univibe so I don´t know how accurate "univibe sound" Micro Vibe has. For my ears it´s definitely close enough for Hendrix stuff. Only thing I´d li...

Hi!
I´ll try to make some kind of layout pic of the pedal with outboard wiring for you. I forgot this already since the thread was buried quickly

Re: BAJA Wizard Wah Wah - photo essay [documentation]
Hi! As you see, I didn´t get any answers to my question. I used a 200K Blacktop Deluxe pot in my Wizard Wah project. The wah sounds really good, but I haven´t tested it with my Cry Baby´s original 100K Hot Potz. So I can´t tell if there would be any dramatic change... Maybe I´ll do that for fun :D B...

Re: J. Everman Fuzz Drive G2
I think the Fuzz Drive is a bit tricky pedal. Not like the usual Fuzz Faces etc. which sounds great already alone. If you´re playing it through a totally clean amp, the fuzz is quite harsh and not really smooth. But if you play it through a cranked amp or combine it with another distortion/od pedal,...

J. Everman - Fuzz Drive G2
As I once promised, here are some pictures of the J. Everman Fuzz Drive G2. Some of the pics aren´t very accurate. Big green cap is Tracon IH104K, two electrolytics are 22uF 25V, Gain pot A500K, Drive A10K, Fuzz B50K and Bias B50K. Not sure about the diode though, maybe 1N914 or 1N4148... Resistor v...

Re: BAJA Wizard Wah Wah - photo essay [documentation]
Okay, so I built the wah without 10pF caps and seems to work fine. Sounds really nice. However I replaced few resistors with trimpots to see how different values affect to the sound. I had an old crybaby but used the box for this. I cut the rubber pieces from the heel position and got some more rang...

Re: BAJA Wizard Wah Wah - photo essay [documentation]
Hello everyone! Thanks to Bajaman for this great wah project. I´m currently building one for myself too. I have one question: Do you necessarily need the two 10pF caps? I have only one at home and I just wanna finish this before saturday (gig and a good testing chance then). I haven´t seen those cap...

Re: Hermida Audio - Zendrive [ goop-alarm ] [traced]
Hi again! I figured out the problem... I guess checking the components many times wasn´t enough. :slap: I had connected one cap to a wrong whole. Now it works perfectly! Sounds really good in my opinion. I just put a 4558 in and it sounds great right away, next I´ll try other chips other people ment...
