Re: Building Electric Guitars From Kits.
If the bridge is stripped out, shouldn't the company you bought this from send you a replacement? Unless it was operator error, it sounds like a manufacturing defect to me. I think the bigger issue is that the replacement is bound to fail like the one he now has, because the quality just isn't ther...

Re: Building Electric Guitars From Kits.
I'm about to build one of these: http://buy.precisionguitarkits.com/shop/double-cut-elegantly-simple One word of warning in regard to those Asian guitar kits. They usually mention that sanding sealer has been applied, do you know what kind of sanding sealer? Not all sanding sealers are compatible wi...

Re: JOYO classic flanger [schematic]
Can't say what this is a clone of but it replaced an EVH mxr flanger on my board. There was no comparison, My mxr is noisey as all hell and the joyo is not. Sounds exactly the same IMO but with very little noise. The paintjob has got to go though! I have tried almost all the joyo pedals. None are n...

Re: I'm creating a development platform for DIYers and more.
The pot issue could be a really simple fix. A break out board with the pots attached, and users can BUY other breakout boards with different values of pots, or even make their own. The pots could attach with a row of header pins. I know this takes away from the simplicity of the design, but it would...

Re: fal treble booster from 67 [schematic]
The FAL Looks to have a couple more capacitors, and an extra resistor. But give there's no pot on the FAL, maybe the other resistor is doing duty as the pot value.

Endangered Audio Research AD4096 Analog Delay
The echo sounds like a PT style echo. On the analog delay side, the repeats sound a little off to me. A little noisy perhaps.

And why would you need an anonymous FTP server to host the photo?
I'm not trying to make this a conspiracy thing, but you're not making it easy!

How predictable! How did I know your next post would be one that attempted to belittle me by calling this a conspiracy theory? The burden of proving this is on you. You have all the evidence you need right in front of you, yet you only provided us with a small sample of what we would need to prove ...

Re: Joyo Ultimate Drive PCB labeled as Freekish Blues Alpha
You know what else? Look at the two pictures posted. Have a really good look at the first one. Zoom in. Look at how the letters on the pcb silkscreen have broken into these perfectly shaped pieces that vary in shade/color, even though they appear to have the same amount of goop over the top. Almost ...

Re: Joyo Ultimate Drive PCB labeled as Freekish Blues Alpha
I'm not falling for it. Why would Joyo cover the PCB markings in exactly the same way that Freekish did? They wouldn't. PCB silkscreen comes off with a little solvent. so... you're saying he bought an ADII and painted on the pcb? I'm saying that I very much doubt the story that he bought ...

It's hilarious that this post popped up right around the same time that Freekish Blues popped up and posted again on HC. No one is falling for it, Ken. But thanks for the laughs. Re: Plum Crazy FX - The Squawk
Interesting... I posted a request on the DIY Stomp board back in 05/06 about whether you could switch a transistor, and Andy Carrell drew up a diagram with just that switch layout. Everyone shot the idea down, because of the need to rebias each transistor correctly, but who does that anymore?! You c...
