Re: Maestro - MFZ-1 ( Fuzz )( Norlin )

having a go at this using torchy's ( :thumbsup ) layout. the closest I have to C7 (100pf) is either a 220pf or a 51pf (both ceramic). I'm trying to figure out what C7 does exactly and if I can get away with using either of these substitutes? the 51pf is closer but I'm guessing it might be better to...

Re: Musitronics - Mutron Phasor II

i just got myself a Mutron Phasor II and i am so underwhelmed that i'm starting to think that maybe Santa Claus isn't really real...there is so little effect. it's almost as though the low half of the sweep is not there at all. my morley pfv is way stronger than this mutron. i only just got it last ...

Re: Morley PFA Pro Phaser

i have one of these and i really like it but for one or two things, the rise and fall are equal and there is a little stutter or garble at the point where it turns over. also the bypass switch can be a pain to hit without changing the speed especially if you've been drinking. other than that it's gr...

Re: New D*A*M Fuzz..

Dave's a good guy... what I meant by that remark is that he is profiting from the scarcity of his product more than Mike is - Mike could easily charge more for his back ordered models. In both cases keeping the supply much lower than the demand doesn't seem to be an accident, but Dave capitalizes o...

Re: New D*A*M Fuzz..

as a member of his forum and having read many of his posts i really don't think or get the impression he runs his business to make as much money as he possibly can. based on his attitude about people cloning his pedals and the size of his work force (a total) of 2 people i think he does what he/they...

Re: New D*A*M Fuzz..

he can only sell them for that much if people will buy them for that much. i can't think of one time/post that i've read where he threatened anyone in to having to buy one of his pedals...maybe he has. i wish i had his kind reputation.

Re: Baldwin-Burns - Buzzaround [schematic]

Hi all, first post from a long-term lurker Has anyone got any info on the germanium diode in the original Buzzaround? Does it make much difference what type is used? I've got a Buzzaround on breadboard at the moment and have a 1N270 in there, it works fine but i've no idea if it's ideal or not as i...

the only problem with subtractive tremolo's like this is that they get pretty quiet pretty quickly. super easy but at a cost.

without us you wouldn't have a forum and, if it's too much work maybe you shouldn't be doing it. i'm not saying that more people couldn't do more searching but, you are kind of a dick. rylan

if the power booster is the same circuit as the overdriver then i'd have to agree. i love my overdriver. it's just a ballsy pedal.
