Re: Wah Wah pedal switching
Some of the Colorsound wahs have a switch with a hole in the treadle. Morlley has made some wahs with either auto-switching or a switch not under the treadle too.

Re: Origin Effects Cali76?
More info and pics can be found on the Maxon CP9Pro+ in this thread: https://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?p=199844&hilit=maxon+cp9#p199844 It is powered by dbx 1252 & 1253 VCA-type IC's. Totally different from the '76 FET-type compressors. Correct. I did not mean to insinuate that t...

Re: Origin Effects Cali76?
So, I ended up getting a hold of a few compressors and tried them out side-by-side. I haven't opened any of them up, but I wanted to leave my initial impressions. Keep in mind that I usually don't like compressors much. The ones I've tried previously have been too noisy for my tastes. I'm looking fo...

Re: Origin Effects Cali76?
It's a bit more than a handful of JFETs and BJTs... There are two PCBs loaded on both sides with SMD components. I can also say with confidence that the Asian clone sold on AliExpress is not the actual Cali76 circuit. Just for perspective I'm about half way through tracing one, and this is what the...

Re: Reverb Pan Noise/Hum?
Yeah, that was the first thing I did. I was like, "I don't remember the reverb being so noisy." So I plugged the original one back in and sure enough, there was little or no noise. Maybe the MOD tanks are just noisier by design? I might try ordering a different Accutronics pan and see how ...

Re: Reverb Pan Noise/Hum?
I just checked and they all have the Output RCA jack grounded to the case. :/
Thanks for the suggestion though!

Reverb Pan Noise/Hum?
I ordered 2 MOD reverb pans to try out in my amp to replace an Accutronics pan. I think I prefer one of the MOD pans, but the noise from both is unacceptable. My reverb had no discernible hum with the Accutronics, but with both MOD pans there is a hum that gets louder as the reverb is turned up. I t...

Re: MXR - Dyna Comp (Original Script)
Sorry for the wait. I don't frequent this site much anymore. I don't believe that mine has been modded, but I am no expert on this pedal. All the parts look super old. So, if it was modded, it would have to have been modded a long time ago. Let me know if you need any help figuring out which wires g...

Re: Thomas Organ Co. - Cry Baby Stereo Fuzz Wah
It took me forever to find a schematic of this, so I thought I would post it here so it might save someone some time. The image is labeled as the "Vox Stereo Fuzz Wah" but it should be exactly the same as the Thomas Organ (Model # 9-3700 regardless of branding). http://s7.postimg.org/7wkqt...

I finally found a schematic for this. I know it is basically a standard Crybaby/Vox wah with a Fuzz Face type circuit. Anyways, here it is:

Thomas Organ Stereo Fuzz Wah Issue
My friend has a Thomas Organ Fuzz Wah that needs some help. 1. No audio is passed when either the wah or fuzz sections are engaged (together or separate). 2. Audio works in bypass mode (this does not happen if the pedal is not powered). 3. I doubt this is a switch issue since there are 2 separate sw...

Re: Whammy WH1 rotary selector
Maybe I'm totally ignorant, but it seems like a cool project for one of the tiny Arduino boards. Get the Line6 part or something similar and remap the output to match what the WH-1 is looking for so they are all in order. It might be way more trouble than it is worth, but it seems like this is a com...

I found a couple of relevant threads over on DIY Stomp Boxes. https://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=108860.0 https://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=84826.0 Both threads seem to say that they got it working with a Line6 encoder, but the positions didn't line up with t...
