Re: Idiotboxeffects - Blower Bass [traced]
Reviving old thread. Just a question : is it necessary to use 10uf all over the place as coupling caps ? Real Rat uses smaller caps like 4.7u, 22n & 1uF.

Please check my triple loop / switcher
Dear all, I extend Keeley's Parallel Mixer design by adding one loop with phase inverter. So SW1 & SW2 are the phase inverter switch and switches after returns are mute switch. All coupling caps are 1 uf as I have bunch of WIMA's 1 uf, so why dont use it ? The dual supply power will come from se...

Re: 2 wets + 1 dry fx loop design
Thanks Mike. There's no buffer on the dry part, I've read somewhere that a buffer is necessary on a dry loop to prevent feedback. Could you please confirm that you never experience any feedback with your build ? If that's OK, I'll remove the buffer and use the opamp as sum buffer at the output stage...

2 wets + 1 dry fx loop design
Dear all, I need an fx loop with 2 wet & 1 dry lines to use with bass so I took circuit snipplet from all over the net and came out with this schematic. It starts with buffer which then split signal into 2 wet & 1 dry. The wet lines have the polarity reverser as found on splitter blend from ...

Porn : Nice wood enclosure
Just found this on Indonesian forum : http://u.kaskus.us/3/t1cmc6uk.jpg Made of real teak (no plywood), 3 mm wall thickness. It seems that it's sized about the size of Boss pedals. And the price is surprisingly low (I wouldn't publish the price here without permission from the maker) I'm not sure if...

Transformer power rating
I'm about to order a transformer to build my own power supply. It is 30VA with 2x12v secondary. I know how to calculate the output (in mA) for single secondary. But in this case is the 30 VA shared between the two secondary or each secondary has 30 VA output (which I expect)?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

OpenStomp : programmable stomp
Just found this : http://www.openstomp.com/index.html
There are some guts shots on the gallery.
Very interesting, although I'm not sure how long they will survive.

can I just replace it with fixed 1k1 resistor ? yes  BUT - you should build my optical limiter instead (DIY projects section) - much better than the compulator in my opinion (which is biased) bajaman Thanks baja. I've salvaged a 10k trim from other circuits, unfortunately the optocoupl...

Hi Baja, This weekend I will build the Compulator. I've ordered all the components (including the VTL5C10 optocoupler), but I forgot the 10k trimpot (I live in a small remote town, so finding components is a daunting task... ). On the schematic, you mentioned that the trimpot is set at 1K1 fro...

PCB making with sticker backing paper
Hi all, I don't know if somebody already post this or not, a friend introduced me to a new toner transfer technique using used sticker backing paper (don't know how to call this on proper english). It's the paper used to cover the adhesive part of the sticker, with glossy part on one side. The color...
