Re: Death by Audioo - Reverberation Machine
Great project, but very bassy, using or not the mud/distortion side of it... I see the C12 with the Blend pot as a kind of low pass filtering... Am I wrong? I tested to cut off the pot terminal to ground and voilá, high frequency response is back!!! Does anyone see a cure for this high frequency loss?

Re: TC Electronics - Sustain Parametric EQ [schematic]
Finally I've found an unity working great!
It is a very strange device, but it does things any other one could do!
Really loving it!
Using it a lot in my AJJA Duo Project of improvisational live music.

Nothing better than your own experience.

Re: Digitech Hardwire SC-2 Valve Distortion
I was very interested in this pedal since I've tried it. Very good sounding, very "meaty" in a good way.
Maybe it's too soon to assume the heart of distortion generation engine could be the CMOS 4007?

I'm starting to test a dummy coil on the backplate in a Vintage Reissued Series V6. If I get any kind of success I will post it here.

Well... I found a couple of dounds very usefull to me, but how to know if they will work for you? Very subjective matter. Anyway, if you look for something more "standard", better to stay far way from these one!

Is there anybody out there with another original unit who confirm the values seen here? I've changed the R6 to 220K and got a worse result in sound and performance...

Re: Electro-Harmonix: The Freeze (Gut Shots for fun)
I opened mine and ruined the MODE switch in the process... :slap: If someone knows where I could find a similar one it would be great! Anyway I discovered a messy situation: when disconnected the pot central leg, the frozen audio signal appears at both legs, the disconnected one and the other one. A...

Maybe something like that?
I thought about Rx as 1M Ohms and Cx .001uF. What do you think?

Re: Vox Pathfinder LED Mod
I think about that too. Maybe using the same FET trick found at the gain stage feedback resistor could be used to filter some bass end out when the boost switch is engaged. Something like two capacitors in parallel (one very small value and the othe larger value, as used in this circuit) and a FET t...

Re: Vox Pathfinder LED Mod
Well, I can't agree more! I did several tests using different diode combinations. The best was using4 LED's. and one 1N4007. One pair of LED's in series and coupled in antiparallel with the other pair and the 1N4007. It gaves an assymetric distortion and not so squeezed output, but I prefered with n...

Re: Vox Pathfinder LED Mod
RnFR, I just did some mods in my Vox Pathfinder and the first was about trying to fix the clipping LED's section. I've tried a lot of associations, but it would need some kind of re-EQ the signal to get a "tubish" sound. With the hard clipping section out of the circuit what we get basical...

One of two: maybe you made some mistake along building it or we have a very differente perception regarding low frequencies. It is one of the most fat bottomed fuzz I saw.kinski wrote:Sounds great, but it cuts the bass too much for me. How could I get more bass happening? Thanks!

Yes, Ben, I sa the answer at the "other place" and found it the easiest path. And perhaps the safe one!

I can't agree more. Pedals, specially distortions, are made to please our ears not our scale meters!
