Re: Catalinbread - Dirty Little Secret [traced]
Overall I'm pretty pleased. When compared to my original DLS MkIII, it sounds pretty close. I only need to do two things in order to get my build 100% to my liking: 1. Decrease the overall gain - mine has a little too much at the minimum setting 2. Decrease the Bass - the original pedal is pretty b...

Re: Catalinbread - Dirty Little Secret [traced]
Just finished my build using IVIark's vero (thanks mang!) I have 2N5457s in it and have followed the advice of a few of the guys here and this is what I did: 22n in place of the 100n cap 220n in place of the 2n2 220R resistors going from Q1 Drain to Q2 Source And same for Q3-Q4 Overall I'm pretty pl...

Re: Lovepedal Amp Eleven [traced]
Just about finished this. I added a 1P6T switch for various clipping options. Has a little more mid boost than I thought it'd have. I'm considering putting in a 1M pot for the Drive instead of the 500k. I put in the Clock of Tone which is a modded COT that adds a pot to get some more highs in there ...

Re: Skreddy - P19 [traced]
Hint: it's a Big Muff design with tweaks inspired by Cornish P1. Pretty much shifted the Pig Mine into the direction of the P1, ending up with fully half the components changing in the process. For every 1 component I used that was the same thing as Cornish, about 4 are different. Not a clone of an...

Re: Zvex - Box of Rock [traced]
Ok, I figured it out. C3 is wrong in diagram I used. It should be parallel to C4 and R6 (although the cut makes it so it's not actually "parallel" in the circuit - if that makes sense... Just visually) Now that Gain Switch makes a huge difference - adds some nice extra distortion. For what...

Re: Zvex - Box of Rock [traced]
dap9, i am thinking that you must have a wrong value(or values), or something miswired, or something broken. On a stock build, with the gain control turned down all of the way, there should be practically no distortion. You shouldn't need to alter the circuit from its stock design for less gain. Ye...

Re: Zvex - Box of Rock [traced]
Finally got around to building this pedal using the vero layout below. I liked the idea of that switch for a little more gain. BUT, my pedal seems to have more gain than the demos I've been checking out (even w/ the switch in the "stock" position). It sounds great as it, but I'd really lik...

Re: New DIYLC is soon to be finished! [link]
They are exported to scale, that's why it's small. I'll increase resolution for PNG. As for PDF, we shouldn't change it because you want your PDF to be in scale when printing traces and similar stuff. PDF is in vector format so you can zoom it in as much as you want. Cheers Thanks man! I'll look fo...

Re: New DIYLC is soon to be finished! [link]
Great program! The only problem I'm having is I just finished a project and when I save it as a .png, it's REALLY small. Same as .pdf. Is there a way to set it so it'll print out big and clear?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Lovepedal Amp Eleven [traced]
The original poster at TGP simply says "so...it turns out this here is a Timmy rip-off" ..so not unexpectantly people are saying it sounds nothing like a Timmy.. Would someone tell them its a COT + Timmy. So how is it setup.. 2 individual circuits that can be run in series ? COT first ? J...

Re: Catalinbread - Formula No. 5 [traced]
They are getting a lot of mileage out of those 5457s! All those pedals sound damn cool to me. I have a DLS clone on my board right now and really dig it. If a scheme for this one comes out, I'd be curious to at least breadboard it and then A/B the two. Another pedal that piques my curiosity is the M...

Uh oh, looks like Small Bear is out of the MN3005s and I only ordered one back when I ordered my PCBs. What to do?

Re: Analog Delay Add-Ons - Double Time, Modulation, Exp
It appears my procrastination may have paid off!! I have a few of the AP boards from a while ago and haven't gotten to building them up.
Is it too late to order these newer PCBs? I'd definitely be up for a few of each! Thanks!

Thanks for the link, but I realized that it's the in/ouput jacks that have the plastic nuts. Oops

Where to find 2.1mm jack w/ external plastic nut?
Small Bear has external metal nut. But I'm liking the look of the King Of Tone w/ the external plastic nut. Anybody know where I can find them? A quick search of Mouser didn't turn anything up (but it was a quick search)
thanks
thanks

Re: Zvex - Box of Rock [traced]
Just finished reading through the thread. Good stuff, but given the span of time all these posts encompass, I can't tell if the BSIABOX vero above is verified or not. Is that the one Torchy did that people used? Which would mean it is verfied. There are some good tips to get some Bass Cut, but can't...
