Re: VT BASS DI

If I want to remove the CMOS switching, would this be the way to do it?

Re: VT BASS DI

I'm trying to understand the bypass switching. Can some one explain to me why they put the one transistor for the off position on U5B and not before on U5A?

Re: AMT BC-1 gut shot

Are you going to try to trace it Tuck ? It looks a lot easier then the Orange Bass Butler that you did. Any links to any other great Bass preamp pedal schematic you know off ? Maybe in the future. There are so many pedals that I want to build and that pedal was so cheap that I see no need to trace ...

Re: Re-amp box transformer quest and 0 Ohm resistor

I asked them what transformer it is and got the response that it is a PMT30 or (Palmer MT30) transformer made by them.
No more in production as the Daccapo is discontinued.

Re: Pigtronix - Keymaster [schematic]

What an odd design. Return B lacking a proper buffer makes the maximum blend dependent on the out-Z of whatever is in there, the dead phase inverter OPA could've been put to good use there :/. Also if anybody ever has problems with the XLR output, 100n are wayyyy too low there. Resistor values are ...

Re: Orange Bass Butler [schematic]

I found some time to compare the original with my builds. The original sound almost exactly the same. The only difference that I could hear (at low volume at home) is that the original box has a little tiny bit more gain on tap than my big box. On the Other hand the small BB box has a lot more gain ...

Re: Orange Bass Butler [schematic]

That looks awesome Tuck, if you want to use the DI out just use a stereo 1/4 inch jack. You could make a small cable with the 1/4 inch plug on one end and a 3 pin XLR socket on the other end to use as a patch cable. Cheers Mick Thank you! The idea of the small box was to omit the whole cab sim DI o...

Re: Orange Bass Butler [schematic]

A strange thing is that the J201 need a drain voltage below 10V to get the drive section to work. In the beginning without any turn on the bias trimmers there was a really bad gated fuzz sound. I measured 4 to 7V. Then I set them to 12V with the result that there was no distortion at all. Also at 10...

Beware it's a really fiddly build.
I use the small alpha pots like this RD901F-40-15R1-B10K where you have to cut one of the spacers so it does not touch the solder pads beneath it.

Re: JHS/EHX Lizard Queen

Re: Orange Bass Butler [schematic]

Tassieviking, wouldn't it be easier to add a small little Booster to the front?
viewtopic.php?p=265644
This way you could have a boost for clean and dirt. Just add a trim pot on the inside and a footswitch.
