Re: Bixonic - Expandora [traced]

Damn it's just gotten to the stage that between the dual layer PCB and that SMD business I think I may just buy an Expandora and have done with it :(

BTW I wasn't implying you didn't read the spec sheet, just pointing out that I have insect legged cap on my TB

I recently ordered the Sharp unit. It's SMD, however. :|
My one knob tone Bender on vero ended up with SMD parts in it (didn't read my order sheet properly)

Re: UV ETCHING

Note: I recently tried Caustic Soda / Sodium hydroxide / rooter powder drain opener ( all the same ) The formula is way to picky to get good results. So I am going back to the little 9 dollar bottle of remover for removing the unused resist off the boards. It depends on the resist, some resists are...

Re: UV ETCHING

If I can get this method down to science relatively quick..Ill be able to almost mass produce boards. Why I didnt do this sooner..I dont know..fear maybe. But those who have yet to try this method, go for it. :) TBH it's the easiest method there is (should try the damn rub down transfer method for ...

Re: SCRAMBLER!

<sulk> I have tried to build a scrambler twice and each time they didn't do anything useful, I'm beginning to think it's the GGG PCB has issues (as their old BMP layout had issues too). Before anybody says anything this is the only pedal has required anything more than minimal debugging :( I think I...

Re: Sola Sound - Tone Bender Mark I (1965) [schematic]

i did the gary hurst version because it has more components that can easily be left out of the circuit, and with a few value changes an original mk1 can be made. if you compare the two schematics you'll see what i mean. i'd post up a rework, but my original files are on my crashed hard drive that i...

Re: Sola Sound - Tone Bender Mark I (1965) [schematic]

Sorry as I may be being a bit thick. Is there any chance of getting the V1 diagrams being reposted (assuming that the Gary Hurst layout is not the same as the original Mk1) Given the the eternal popularity of the Tone Bender would it be a good idea to have a verified circuit / layout topic for all t...

Re: Questions on UV etching method..

Heh with real world workloads and family commitments I seldom get the time to do anything other than the care essentials and that includes junk shops :( so I grabbed the 1st thin transparent item I had to hand (it was 01:00 am before I even got time to do the exposure tests). From then on I just wen...

Re: Questions on UV etching method..

OK I am probably the cheapest person in the world (cos I have no money) I have been through the regular paper and press n peel blue options. PnP blue is OK once you get used with it, but expensive. As for the paper method I found that a little too inconsistent for my liking and a PITA. I tried using...

Soulsonic: Any update on this? Were you able to find a suitable sub for the obscure Sharp opto unit? Thanks! Smallbear have the unit in stock (apparently).
