Re: EMG Active Pickup Circuit?

Unfortunately that was not the reason...I really like the sound of the center position the way it is right now, at least with distortion...I just would like to know what's wrong

Re: EMG Active Pickup Circuit?

Ok, maybe i got it: looking at the schematic (https://www.freestompboxes.org/download/ ... &mode=view) i noticed that when both pickups are selected the 2 10k resistor at the output create a divider...i will try to remove them as soon as i can!

Re: EMG Active Pickup Circuit?

I finally built it and the sound is great, but i have one problem: - my color code is green for HOT, red and white together, black and bare to GND for standard wiring and green+black HOT and red and white to GND for parallel wiring; - I wired green and black as +IN and -IN and red+white to GND; - at...

Re: Boss - Metal Zone MT2 mods

Does anybody tried lowering R44 value to, let's say, 22k (1/10th of the original) instead of removing C34 or C35?? That should do the trick without changing too much the character... Lowering C30 as well should give a tighter distortion with less low end fuzz... I'd like to try those mods but I have...

Re: Carl Martin AC-Tone (schematic inside)

The schem is to be rechecked. It is the gate that is not used, not the source. Almost all FET's have a protection diode between drain and source. That's the component that is doing the clipping in this circuit (or an Fullbore OCD as another example). Unfortunately I had to draw the schem from owner...

Re: Two versions of SS guitar power amplifiers

Great project!
So great that I could give it a try! How many A should the transformer be? Does the mosfet have to be matched somehow?

Thanks again for your great contribution! :applause:

Caparison Angelus wiring

Hi folks! Does anybody know something about the Caparison angelus wiring? It's pretty interesting since it uses a 3-way lever switch to have 2 classic choices (position 1 -neck, position 2-bridge) and then a rotary switch to select the sound in the middle position; here's the link: http://www.capari...

Thanks a lot Bajaman! This circuit is in my "To do list" and since I'm building 3 guitars, I think I will try it at least on one!

Re: EH - Hottubes (tube) guts [schematic]

Hi guys! I've traced this pedal, but unfortunately I had to give it back before I could finish tracing the switching (which is'nt true bypass; only 2 rows of the 3pdt are used) and the power supply (which is a simple back to back transformer 12AC wall transformer into a 9v->220v; i hadn't the time t...
