Re: Regulator problems
Ah! Ok, I thought I was within spec for this. I had the regulator screwed against the enclosure. Figured that would be act fine as a heat sink and act as a ground. Could I power the 9v regulator with the 18v regulator?” That’s in the same enclosure? Probably don’t need more than a couple hundred ma ...

Regulator problems
So I’m having a weird issue. I’ve used regulators countless times over the year to drop voltages to where I need them to be. For a few years I’ve been using an 18v regulator with a 24v 4A power supply. Works beautifully. However, if I try to add a 9v regulator, the regulator over heats or goes up in...

Re: Surfy Bear Reverb Mix Question [traced]
Amazing! It should be mentioned that Q2 and Q7 get very hot and MUST have a heat sink yet also isolated from ground. I used some heat sink tape for isolation and screwed them directly to the reverb unit enclosure. Might be best to mount them off board then run wires to the vero.

Re: Surfy Bear Reverb Mix Question [traced]
I know there are some other reverb kits on the market somewhere. Can’t think of the names now. Not of the 6G15, but probably still sounds nice.

Re: Surfy Bear Reverb Mix Question [traced]
Oh man, thanks for this. However I’ve finished the Surfy Bear. It works great just giving the dry and wet their own pot followed by summing resistors.

Re: Surfy Bear Reverb Mix Question [traced]
Doesn't seem like there is much interest in this. But I'll report back anyway in case someone finds this helpful. I had a chance to try this idea out and it worked perfectly. Now I have totally independent controls for Dry and Wet levels. And another nice thing about this set up (at least for me) is...

Surfy Bear - Reverb [traced]
Hoping I could get some help here. I'd like to have indepent control of the Dry and Wet signal. Could I modify the single mix pot and use two mix pots instead? One for dry and one for wet? Pot A 1 to Dry signal, 2 to output, 3 to ground Pot B 1 to Wet signal, 2 to output, 3 to ground Would this work...

Re: LM1036 Circuit Question
Put this all together a few days ago. Works really well. No added noise. The tone controls are really usable all around for fine adjustments. Exactly what I was looking for to inject a little bit more treble into my system. Bass control is nice as well but I tend to keep it at unity. I added a switc...

LM1036 Circuit Question
So, I wanted to add some EQ options for my home stereo system, as it currently has no EQ controls. I'm gonna mess with the LM1036 chip. I was lazy and just ordered a mostly prebuilt PCB of the stock data sheet circuit. Its got controls for Volume, Bass, Treble, Loudness, and Balance. All fine, excep...

Casiotone HELP!
I'm heartbroken! I found an early 80 Casiotone on my block. Took it home, cleaned it, and then modded it a bunch. Sounded really really nice. I decided to open it once more today to try another mod. I accidentally contacted some point on the board and now I cant get it to produce any sound. The outp...
